There were definitely several completions yesterday where Shepphard was trailing the WR after the catch. It was reminiscent of the David Barrett days. I understand you can't have All Pros at every position, and Lito has played well at times; but between injury and inconsistent play, he definitely isn't the player he once was for a year or two, and IMO can/should be upgraded this Offseason.
Im no football guru like some others on this site but I would have to agree. Every game I watch where Lito is starting, hes getting picked on and torched by the opposition. Austin Collie is a rookie (and a 4th rounder at that) and he was having his way with our "very good cornerback" yesterday.

You mean our 'great' and 'awesome' CB that several people have claimed he is. He's not bad by any means, but can he be upgraded? Absolutely. Again, I think the most telling sign was that Philly thought it was best for their team to part with him. If he was so great, they would've kept him as their #2 to Asante Samuel. The #2 CB on the Jets is quite a predicament because, essentially, that player almost has to be a #1 CB due to the fact that Revis shuts down whoever he covers -- thus, the #2 CB sees most of the action and must be close to #1 caliber.

well according to Francesa the domination doesn't count because the Colts gave up once Manning came out of the game. The disrespect he shows to the Jets on a weekly basis makes it seem like they are the Oakland Raiders of the past 5 years. He actually called Jets fans delusional for thinking the Jets would have only lost by a TD if manning had stayed in. In one sentence he'll say it doesn't matter that the Jets lost 5 games on the last play. In his next breath he'll say the Texans are inches away from 11 or 12 wins. He said they lost 3 games in the last second. He'll go on about that for a minute. Then a caller will bring up the Jets losing 5 games close and he'll say it doesn't matter they didn't win.

You know he hates that the Jets will close out his beloved Giants Stadium after the Giants shit the bed in their finale.
