Why should he give us respect? We don't deserve any. We hayve beaten on team that is on thier way to the playoffs this year in the Pats. Yes the Colts game was close before the starters went out and we dismantled thier backups, but we really only beat the backups. If this team wants respect they will need to go out and earn it.
The Jets do better when the analysts don't give them a chance. The heavy favored Jets are the ones who fail almost always.
Wow Jet fans are very fucking weird. After all the games this team has given away, in all the various ways, in every facet of the game. Offense, Defense and Special Teams, How on Gods Green earth can any fan complain when an analyst doesn't believe in this team? The Jets making the playoffs this year is one big lucky accomplishment. A rookie HC, QB and more mistakes then you can shake a stick at. Lets just enjoy the possibility of them making it and not worry that an analyst rightfully think this team is mediocre compared to a 10-5 team that has more big wins.
Wasn't Dilfer the one that was in love with Sanchez before the draft and even more so when we drafted him? Either way, the Jets often seem to respond to reverse psychology (a la competing against a team that they supposedly have no shot at beating). Even though I didn't hear it myself, I like what I'm reading.
i agree with you totally....Dilfer and whoever else has every right to doubt this team given the ups and downs this year....i don't hear what he said and say WOW i can't believe that its biased
It's not strange that he (or anyone doubts the Jets), but he has to presume that Cincy won't be playing their starters the entire game, which would make a Jets victory a definite possibility.
It's over. According to Dilfer we do not have a legitimate shot to win the Cincy game. I guess I should not even watch the game.
I don't even watch much of espn's NFL coverage anymore. Ever since I got NFL network I've kinda fazed Bristol out.
I like Dilfer a lot. I remember when I heard him being interviewed on WFAN when he was still a player, analyzing the games, and he was fantastic. He's a very good analyst, but nobody's perfect. I don't know what he actually said anyway. Screw the analysts anyway. Very few had an accurate read on the Colts game.
He was on sportscenter and said something along the lines of this "In my short time here in Bristol if i have learned one thing its that the Jets lose these types of games" i couldnt help but laugh....and maybe cry on the inside
