^ That's based on last years record, not this year.

"+1. I hope someday retarded people realize the NFL is a rock/paper/scissors league. There are no guarantees."

Terrible example. Anyone that knows anything about rps knows that rock wins everytime.

Nah the Dolfags fans are still bitching about them losing on Sunday. Pats already got in, Dolfag fans are more beliveable.

I think you could say we were fortunate the way the schedule broke for us. It was not an easy schedule, but we did luck out by catching teams that have been both hot and cold (Cold also means without incentive) while they were on the cold side.

Houston, Atlanta, Tennessee, Carolina, Colts and now Cincinnati. Perhaps even the Pats the first time we played. Brady was still getting his feet under him.

But, so what? Our schedule was similar to the others. WHO we played wasn't easy, but WHEN we played them worked out well.

our schedule wasn't easy but you have to admit there were some very winnable games.....also don't use the colts as an example thats just as ridiculous as saying the jets ha an easy schedule

We played TN when Collins was their QB. They sucked.
We played NE when Mayo and Welker were out. They bitch us when both were playing
We played Carolina when Jake Delhome was in the midst of a complete breakdown and they were outright awful
We played Atlanta the week after they were eliminated
We played the Colts in what was essentially a scrimage for their first unit who left the game with the lead.

Reality is the schedule we played looks tougher on paper than it was. The other reality is this was a very down year for the league in terms of really good teams. The fact that two 9 & 7 teams are going to make the playoffs speaks volumes to the lack of good teams in this league right now.

Edelman did exactly what Welker always does, if you said we played them when Brady was rusty I'd accept that.

We also played NO tougher than anyone prior to the last 2 weeks.

    We crushed Houston in Houston

Carolina played Miami tough the week before and they have lost just once since we beat them.

Ten lost alot of close games early, we all knew they were alot better than their record.

Atlanta lost by only 3 at No the week before they played us and they crushed Buffalo the next week.

TB hasn't lost since we crushed them.

Oak lost by 3 to SD at home, they beat philly, they beat Cincy, they beat Pitt and denver.

We played a MUCH, MUCH, MUCH tougher sched than we played a year ago and we are going to the playoffs w/ one more win and a rookie QB.

Nice but foolish. Anyone who has watched the "great" peyton in January knows why they haven't been to more than one Super Bowl.

What's foolish is saying Peyton Manning has held his team back from winning multiple championships. The Colts are nothing without him.

Nothing is a bit strong, if you are saying they can't win w/ Painter at QB I agree but if Manning wasn't there and they had a decent NFL QB they'd still win alot of games. Not as many as they win w/ him but they'd win alot and reg season wins are nice but the guy is a choker who doesn't play to his reg season level in postseason. If he played anywhere near his usual level they'd have 3-4 SBs instead of 1 right now.

If Miami took care of the Texans and Titans like we did we wouldn't even be in this position.

The schedule going into this year looked tough, but a lot of teams didn't play to their potential but about half the league does that every year.

We were 9 & 7 last year and played a tougher schedule. We aren't actually in the playoffs yet and the best we will be is 9 & 7.

Payton is clearly the best QB in football, it's not even close. Comparing Edelman to Welker is almost moronic and yes Brady was clearly rusty.

I find it odd that 7 of the bottom 10 and the bottom 5 are in the playoffs if they started today yet nobody is questioning their strength of schedule.

We definately did not have an easy schedule.

Lets remember the Panthers were the #2 seed last year. The Titans were a #1 seed last year.

Wasn't rusty against the Bills in week 1.

Give the Jets credit, they made him rusty.

if we go undefeated will that be good enough for you??

Did we watch the same NFl last year? That was probably the easiest sched we have had in my almost 30 years of watching the Jets. Last year's sched was cake.

No Tom Brady last year, Buffalo stunk, we basically played one really good team all year and that was tennessee. This year's sched has been MUCH tougher, it's not even debateable.

Edelman did everything the overrated Welker does. Of course he's not as good but that game he replicated him perfectly.

he had 8 recs for 98 yds for a 12.25 average which is better than Welker. Welker is great at what he does but he's not a WR, he's a glorified RB.

Peyton is better than Brady THIS YEAR but only a fool would take Peyton over Brady if they needed to win a big game in January.

Oh and Brees has been the best QB in the NFL this year and Rivers is right there w/ Manning and Brees so to say it's Manning and not close is wrong.

He was not very good against the Bills. He was pretty damn rusty against the Jets Week 2.

Also, this is something I noticed through out the year...... the Jets have destroyed offenses when the other teams #2 wideout is hurt. That is one of the great contributions of Revis. Look @ the first 2 games. The other teams #2 was hurt and the D was awesome.

Welker is a one of the better WR's in the league. LOL at a rookie being anywhere near his caliber.

Back on topic...... Every year it is the same shit about the schedules. It's easy, its hard blah blah blah. You never know what factors, be they injuries or a team gelling, crumbling etc. etc., are going to effect the opposition in the coming year. Looking back this was a little more difficult than average schedule where shit fell right for the Jets. I will say the Jets so far have made it way more freaking difficult than it had to be.
