We host the first regular season home game between us and the Giants in 2011. Maybe they'll flip a coin for the home opener??

Yep but the question was who would have the honor of opening the new joint stadium in 2010. If in the rotation we are the home team for the 2011 game then sure we are the host but OTH if they will be the home team then they will be the host. So back to the question since the stadium will open 2010 not 2011 who will have the honor of playing the 1st regular season game there us or them?
I don't remember where I heard this, but I think the Giants open the new stadium since the Jets are closing out Giants Stadium. Should have been the other way around though.
The only fair way would be a coin toss I think. It would be nice of the Giants to let us open her up since we've been renting from them all these years. If it alternates by year they opened at home this year against Washington so in that regard it would be our turn. We were away in week 1 in 2008 also.
I think somebody posted that here in TGG with no facts to back up that speculation. I have seen nothing from any of the newspapers scribes or from the NFL itself yet so I have to suspect this problem is already a sticking point between the 2 teams since both would want to have the honor of being the 1st to play in the new stadium.

Same here. I think everyone wanted the last game to be like this. It's even better. Last game in the Stadium, Win and in. SNF, with everyone you have been around for years, the last time. Hollywood could not of wrote a better script.
