Can someone please explain what we would need to happen if......the bengals lose and the ravens win and the phins n jags lose and we win today, then what happens?
Then the Jets control their own destiny. Basically, it would put the Bengals and Ravens tied for the division lead. If we beat the Bengals, we have the tiebreaker over them, assuming Baltimore wins over Oakland. And if Baltimore loses to the Raiders, then we're in anyway.
Baltimore OR Denver. I dont like Denver at Philly. Cheifs just tied it at 10, which is a negitive for us. It would be nice if both our remaning teams had nothing to play for.
Even with results seemigly going our way at the mo, still need a win at Indy. Need Sanchez to play his best game of the year - easier said than done
I think Sanchez will play well in a dome with no weather problems. Its clear the guy doesnt like the cold weather. And I've been Mr. Anti-Sanchez the last 6 weeks or so.
I always said the toughest part of all these scenarios wasn't the other stuff- I had a feeling all these teams would lose this week. I'll be shocked if all four teams lose when Philly plays Denver. The Jets winning two in a row was the biggest impediment to the playoffs. We'll see if they can prove me wrong.
If the Ravens and Jets are both 8-7 we get the tiebreaker right? We both have the same conference record.
It doesn't hurt us that the Bengals already clinched their divsion this week. Pleayoffs here we come.
I'm very confused as to why the Jets are still the #6 seed right now and the Broncos control their destiny. I had thought that if the Broncos lost, the Jets would get bumped up to #5 and the Ravens would be at #6? The reason I'm worried is because DEN is playing KC and I would much rather have to play CIN again than NE in the first round.
Whoever gave you that information is incorrect. The Jets are the #5 Seed. The Ravens are the #6 Seed. The Broncos are OUT at the moment.
NFL.com has the Jets as the #6 seed against the Pats and the Broncos as the 5. All I know is if the Jets win, they're in. I'd rather be the 5 in case we get a home AFC Championship and because I prefer Cincy to NE, but it doesn't make that big a difference.
