I made this thread for the sole purpose of gathering the Draft wishlist of all the TGG users.

What players would you like the Jets to draft in the first 2 rounds? Name 5 players you'd like the Jets to draft in rd 1 and 5 in rd 2. (about 5...)

Anything goes... If you feel you really want Suh and would like Tanny to trade up include him in your 5 players list.

Assume we'll have 1 pick in rd 1 and 1 in rd 2.

Every TGG user gets A SINGLE POST! In that post you should write the players you want and you can explain why you want them.

Of course we are pretty far away from the Draft so everytime you change your mind you can edit you post.

Don't answer/quote other posts... a discussion thread will be opened for that... let's try to keep things tidy.

    Discussion thread -> http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?p=1518724#post1518724

I hope you all enjoy looking at what players other TGG members have fallen in love with :p.

    DE Corey Wooten, Northwestern
    FS Earl Thomas, Texas

    draft

Lets just say we make the playoffs, we will pick around 21-23. I think players like Terrance Cody, Joe Haden, Dez Bryant, obviously Suh will all be out of our range. I think we need to take a serious look at these players.

    MY BIG BOARD:
    1. Damian Williams-I have seen him play a few times, after watching the Emerald Bowl I can see Damian Williams best assest is his instincts. He has the smarts of Darelle Revis. Maybe he isint 6'4 and runs a 4.3 but he will fit in great with Braylon and Cotch.

    2. CJ Spiller- Kind of a luxury pick, but we still should have a shot at him. Thomas Jones is getting Old, and being that we are such a run heavy team it is important to have two solid backs if one goes down. If we dont sign leon here is a good choice. Spiller and Greene? very scary thought.

    3. Carlos Dunlap-If he falls, he is a force on the dline. Him and Puha could be a great combo down the road.

    4. Anthony Davis-Homegrown ot/og. would make a good line even better, faneca and woody are old.

    round 2:
Eric Norwood- Very versatile linebacker who can help us get pressure.
Deandre Mcdaniel-This guy is a ballhawk. Must of had 16 tackles in the Music City Bowl.
    Marvin Austin
    Arthur Jones
    Golden Tate

    MY DREAM DRAFT:

    CJ SPiller and Eric Norwood.

IF we don't resign Leon this would be a great start

    Round 1 (in order):

Taylor Mays (People love or hate him, but I love the thought of Rex working with his potential.
Jerry Hughes (Gives us that much-needed edge rusher)
Joe Haden (If he's available, but he won't be)
    Cameron Heyward (Perfect 3-4 DE)
CJ Spiller (Luxury pick, but he can do so much for our offense)
    Earl Thomas (Playmaking Safety)
Carlos Dunlap (Don't love him, but he has amazing potential)
Brandon Graham (Solid player overall, could come in and help right away)

    Round 2

Eric Norwood (Love him, does everything well)
Mike Johnson (Perfect LG, sick run blocker)
    DeAndre McDaniel (Playmaking Safety)
George Selvie (Big pass rushing potential)
    Nate Allen (Playmaking Safety)
Mardy Gilyard (Gives us a speed option)

My ideal draft would be Mays and Norwood/Johnson.

Did you watch the Emerald Bowl? Mays was caught out of position during a number of plays...including BC's long passing touchdown.

There's no doubt that he has a shitload of athleticism, but he's definitely overrated because of it.

One of these two safety prospects should go before him: Texas' Earl Thomas and Clemson's DeAndre McDaniel

I can definitely see Taylor Mays being the third safety off the board - which means he could fall to the top of the second round.

What's interesting is Mays' size - he could become the opposite of Adam Archuleta. Archuleta was an extremely athletic, but undersized linebacker at Arizona State...so he was converted into a safety. Some teams may consider converting Mays into a linebacker - he definitely has to the size to play linebacker in a Cover 2 scheme.

First, Spiller will be gone when the Jets are picking toward the end of Rd 1.

I can't believe so many think Spiller should be the Jet's 1st Rd pick. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Spiller adovcate and think he's going to be special in the NFL. Even if Spiller was available our D-line/OLB/O-Line needs some depth.

If Leon is a question mark for next season, we'll have a better idea by late April. I do have some concerns for Leon's future health.

Some options...Dexter McCluster, Ole Miss... Noel Devine, West Virginia and Michael Smith, Arkansas.....might be every bit as productive as Leon Washington, at a better price.

I'd really like to get a RB/ all purpose player in the mold of Sproles on the Jets...spare the Woodhead comments.

Darnell Bing anybody? Mays is a little bigger, 1 inch and 10Lbs, roughly. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in Oakland as a flex player(SS/LB).

MAYS IS HORRIBLE, he does have the size thing going for him but a very poor football IQ.

I like the prospects in the 2nd round at more value than one first round pick, hopefully we can trade back for KC's two 2nd round picks. and still have our pick. 3 second rounders would be unreal.

Eric Norwood-Dominates the SEC in the passrush, enough said. Has size to play ilb if injury happens and is a natural 3-4 olb even if hes only 6'1 250.

Deandre Mcdaniel- If he enters, this kid is a playmaker, still in awe to see how this saftey literally everywhere in the Music City bowl.

Mike Johnson-Good run first gaurd, blocked for a heisman back at bama.

Golden Tate-Good, fast and smart slot receiver.

Marvin Austin/Arthur Jones- good 3-4 DE.

Jermaine Gresham- Big TE who is a threat to catch the ball.

    Javiar Areanas- Solid Cb

Arthur Jones has a lot of talent, but he's been injured and that will hurt his stock.

Invested more big money at tight end wouldn't be a smart move.

Eric Norwood, Marvin Austin, and DeAndre McDaniel are damn good ball players - all first round talents.

I like everyone on your list except for Javier Arenas. I think he'll be 3rd or 4th rounder. If you're thinking about a corner prospect AFTER Joe Haden, it'll be a battle between Michigan's Donavan Warren, Boise State's Kyle Wilson, and OK State's Perrish Cox.
