It's not about judging one's fandom, it's about judguing a fanbase and we have a pretty poor fanbase. The older I get the more I realize how silly all of this stuff is so I understand why folks would want to stay home but that doesn't happen anywhere else in the cold weather NFL Cities.

Do you think that if it was 60 and sunny yesterday, we would have had a full house?

Sure, that's why our fanbase sucks. ANY other cold weather team has a full house yesterday.

Fair enough, that is just how I read it. Mentioning teams like the Steelers and Packers is an extreme example there as the Steelers and Pack have been to what 10-11 superbowls combined?

I doubt it. It would have been alot colder then people aren't getting home until 8-9-10PM on work and school nights.

Yea people would have found ways not to come. I understand alot of people couldnt make it ..just dissappointing to see a stadium like that before gametime, felt like i was there to root for a 3-11 team.

yep gave up my 2 extra tickets for 2 jets tshirts in the parking lot before kickoff. it was rough but made it there at 10am after plowing/shoveling for 5 hours. it all depends on where you were at bcuz alot of people are stuck with un-plowed streets and no 4x4. im lucky i have a 4x4. we were still pretty loud i guess it didnt sound loud from tv.

Giants fans wouldn't have shown up. BMW's don't handle snow very well!

Did it matter? Are you people serious? Who gives a shit about the crowd? First off, most "die hard" Jets fans at the game I find to be stupid enough to be yelling for the entire game, which makes no sense. You should STFU for half the game while our team has the ball, but no, too many people don't have any common sense. As for the rest of it, to care about who showed up to the game is nonsense. Did the fans lose the game? No, it was Sanchez, the lack of a strong running game who obviously get a pass for what they've done, and horrendous special teams. The fans don't cover Tony Gonzalez. The fans don't throw awful interceptions. The only true embarrassment is 7 points from the offense and too many failed field goal attempts. I'm also embarrassed of fans that rip on other fans for not showing up to a game because of ridiculous weather conditions. I don't have season tickets, so I don't give a shit one way or the other, but more credit to the fans that spent the money on the tickets and decided to be smart and not go for several reasons: (a) no need to get on the road to go see a football game in terrible conditions (essentially risking your life with all the idiots on the road), and (b) was it worth it? was it really worth it to watch that pathetic display? THAT'S what's embarrassing, junc. Not the fans, but 7 points.

The team's performance was far far more embarrasing than fans who couldn't make the game b/c they had to deal w/2 ft of snow, no trains, no plowing and no adjustment of the kickoff time to allow for the weather conditions. Dearth's inability to hike a football correctly was far more embarrasing than some poor SOB on the island who was snowed in.

I think we can all agree on the following points:

    1) The team's performance was embarrassing.
    2) The fan attendance was embarrassing.
    3) A stadium in NY would have had better attendance.

Props to the fans that made it out to this one, I wanted to go but my car is worth about as much as a warm bucket of piss in this weather.

When considering my mother was stuck at Philadelphia International Airport for 2 1/2 days I'm not gonna diss any fans that didn't get to the game yesterday.

You can't compare Green Bay to this franchise. For starters most of their season ticket holders live close enough that they can walk to the stadium. My ex was from Green Bay,born and raised. Spent her 1st twenty years there. You don't understand that this is all those people have is Packers football. There is nothing else. The entire town shuts down when the Packers play at home. There are no cars on the road, stores close. They also are better prepared to deal with large snow storms being as they happen more frequently. It's an apples and oranges comparison. Now Baltimore is different or Washington but did you see how many people showed up at the Skins game for a MNF game?

Can we really even call the Packers the class of the NFL fan still? We're talking about fans that wore Vikings Favre jerseys to a home game this year. Tons of purple in that stadium all because they were upset with the front office dealings. I'd rather the fans stay home than pull that nonsense!

You are correct, we should be quiet on O and loud on D.

Yes I believe seeing a half empty building in a playoff race in december hurts a team.

I believe it was an embarrassment to all jet fans to see a building that empty in a playoff race. Risking lives? Please, most of the people were afraid of sitting in the cold for 3 hours. Most roads in the NY area were fine that morning. I understand some people couldn't make it out but 40,000 people? I'm not buying that.

There are a million reasons to be embarrassed to be a Jet fan- this is just another one.

It's not just Green Bay, it's EVERY other cold weather City- do you think the Giants are playing in front of 40,000 in a huge game in december? the skins? Eagles? ravens? pats? Bills? Vikings(they play in a dome but they have to get to the Dome), Bears, Browns, ...

As a fanbase we don't deserve a winner.

I actually agree that our fanbase needs to man up. If you guys don't think fans can affect the game...you're wrong. They can and they do affect the game! Look at the NE game this year...it's quite possible we don't win without the fan support. Seriously...the fans in football are more important than in any other sport (where they are barely factors at all.) But in football, FANS ARE FACTORS.
