The snowfall may have been greater but Sunday morning and during the game it was alot worse in 2003. They stunk in '03 so an empty place was understandable but not w/ the playoffs on the line.

It's just a fact that we don't have a passionate fanbase like most teams in the league. We have a whiny, woe is me fanbase and that's the way it is.

Our tailgate crew went, we all had a sleepover, lol.

We got up at 6am and dug ourselves out, we where there waiting for them to let us in.

I have to admit I was pissed it was so empty but not surprised. We have to have one of the most negative fan bases around.

Most of the Jet fans that sit around me just bitch and moan the whole game instead of cheer.

Hopefully since they hate the Jets so much they didn't buy for 2010.

Snow didn't stop out by us until 1PM, and it was still coming down at a decent clip. You've pointed out exactly why more folks were able to get to the game for Pitt- it was snowing harder "during the game," and not before, the period of critical importance when determining whether one will or will not attend the game.

Stop trying to win this one.

It's not just GB and Pitt(By the way GB was a pathetic franchise post Lombardi until Holmgren arrived), Baltimore once lost a team and they have a fanbase like that. If that was a Giant home game yesterday that Stadium would have been filled, if it was NE(a team that area didn't care about around 15 years ago) they'd have filled it.

When the team stinks it's undrestandable people wouldn't show up but that was a game that if we won we'd be tied for the top WC spot. No other cold weather team in the league would have seen attendance like that in that situation.

It was AWFUL that morning, I was sliding all ovre the place heading out to the Stadium. I guarantee you my commute to that game was worse than yours would have been yesterday or any Long islanders yesterday especially since the closer you got to the City the roads and weather was fine.

You can put a pretty red bow on a pile of steaming dogshit, but in the end it's just that, dogshit.

Sliding on roads you were able to get to vs. Can't get out of your driveway? Is that seriously an argument for you?

I edited my post but you must have quoted me before that. But like I said in my edit.

Look how loyal the NE fanbase is. Was that always the case?

And im not so sure that Giants stadium would have been packed yesterday if the Giants were playing instead of the Jets.

to nyjunc you dont see the full picture. Packers HAVE ONLY ONE TEAM! Basically in that area they have one team in all sports. We have jets giants mets yankees etc. Ravens and Steelers have only one football team and there baseball teams stink. Also another factor the JETS AND GIANTS have 78,000 seats in there stadium. Steelers stadium has about 64,000 ravens have 69,000 and Green Bay has 72,000. Look at the GIANTS when they stink there fans dont show up either. I remember years back when the chargers played the giants in a snow storm, and nobody was there

SO you think it's a case of spoiled new yorkers?

The Jets are my team and I don't give a shit about any other NY team. Sure I'll cheer some on but I'm not emotionally and financially invested to them.

I love the fucking Jets like a brother, lol-

I;m sure most people could get out of their driveways. How do people do it in worse weather in other cities? we just don't have a great fanbase.

The NE fan base hasn't always been loyal BUT they would sell that dump out(their old dump) for a game like yesterday in any weather.

We have more than enough fans to fill that builsing every single week no matter what the weather.

We don't stink, this game was a huge game for the postseason. If we stunk I could understand it. I don't buy any of the weak excuses.

Pretty much all of us on here are whackos w/ this team but I don't think there are enough of us unlike in other Cities. NY fans always get way too much credit for being great fans, but anyone who has been to road NFL games can tell the huge difference btw Jet & Giant fans compared to other NFL Cities.

I got 2 feet of snow, shoveled my driveway at 5 in the morning and made it in time to tailgate before hand. I also drive a 4x4, but no excuses.

You can get tickets on gameday for about 20 or 10 dollars from fans dumping it on CL.

You're beating a dead-horse here. Don't liken those folks who couldn't be at the game to those fans who didn't want to be at the game. When you live on a secondary road, there's little priority given in terms of plowing your streets. Fine, you make it out of your driveway, and what do you do with the 2Ft+ of snow that is now in front of you? Drive through it?

I guess that it we all drove "Junc-Cars" that this wouldn't be an issue.

I'm not saying ALL fans could get there but there's just no way 40,000 people couldn't get to the game b/c they were snowed in. I guarantee you in the same situation every other cold weather team in the league would have had at least 70,000+ people at the game if not 80,000 plus.

Yesterday I woke up at 8 AM, took a piss, then shoveled for nearly 2 hours with my dad until the driveway was driveable, then immediately went to the subway to take the train to the game.

I screamed my ass off every time we were on D, and the people who made it to the game can only be commended. If you're going to give anyone shit, it's the people who could have made it there with a little effort but did not.

My girlfriend went to the game with me, a CO native, and a Broncos fan (though she will deck out in green and cheer her head off for the Jets with me), made a comment on how Mile High/Invesco would never look this empty.

The only thing that annoys me is all these morons around here pony up all this money for SUVs, and still can't navigate some snow.

Me and my 6 year old were there, section 330, screaming for the D. And screaming at the O.

The crowd was pretty loud. And angry. My son learned a lot of new words yesterday.

I have never been a season ticket holder, but have attended games. That being said, with the way the season has gone, the weather being shit, and the prices continually rising, who can blame those that choose to watch from the comfort of home.

Judging one's fanhood by whether he or she attends games is lame. I have been watching this team for over twenty years, buying merchandise, attending games and have nothing to show for it. A couple of division titles. That is it.

When all else fails, let's start attacking one another.
