Yeah sure, we had another fucking collapse, but don't shit on this organization and front office. It is the absolute best in the NFL. We are blessed with an organization that rewards its loyal fans by putting their team in the best position to win games every season. We are talking about an organization that picked up Faneca, Richardson, Pace, Jenkins, and Favre following a 4-12 season. This year, we recognize we needed a coaching change, we got the best available coach out there, Bart Scott, we traded up in the draft to get a franchise QB, acquired a proven CB in Sheppard, and got a talented WR in Edwards for next to nothing. Our front office is the reason why everyone is pissed because their acquisitions and team management set all of our expectations so high. If they did not do these things, we would have a more realistic approach to the season. This organization certainly provides, the players and coaches simply don't execute.
The only reason I disagree with you is that you missed the obvious: we are the second best organization in football, nobody beats the Redskins!
2 Questions: 1. Do you work for the organization? 2. Of the 4 Jets in your avatar, who is your favorite?
he has a point. would anyone disagree w/me, when i say we're heading in the right direction? lets all be realistic, next season i'm sure we will upgrade the offense, and even the defense, we will get our st's together, and sanchez and ryan wont be rookies anymore.
I agree with the sentiment that this team is heading in the right direction. Overall, I'm pleased with the future of this team and Rex Ryan and even Mark Sanchez heading forward. That doesn't mean today didn't hurt.
Yeah, today def. hurt but there have been so many outlandish statements saying the team has no future, Ryan sucks, Sanchez isn't gonna amount to shit, etc. Granted, I know emotions are high following a loss (I'm guilty of this as well) but there are just a ton of ppl on here that don't know how to keep things in perspective
you are absolutely delusional for posting this crap.... i'm not even going to go into any more detail because im going to grow angry there was a huge blizzard the night before and the jets dont urge the game to be moved to 4 PM which it would have been....this meant half the stadium was empty come kickoff and peoples money were blown....how is that elite organizational execution?
totally agreed without question. i think what everyone is bugging out about is that this team is a lot better than they have played and SHOULD be in the playoffs this year. # 1 defense + #1 rushing game = absolutely no excuses
yeah maybe the, we are the best organization comment was too strong. but your comments has nothing to do w/why we lost
and neither does the title of this thread or the content in it.. i am speaking to the operation on the organizational level
pretty funny thread dude! I agree with you that Woody has been MORE then generous with his willingness to spend and put the best product on the field, but i definitely wouldn't say best organization. having to throw down 5K per seat for 4 seats next year for the right to my tickets (before the price of the actual ticket) doesn't exactly make me feel like a valued customer ;-)
absolutely.....i'm not saying the jets were superbowl bound by any means but the playoffs should have occurred for this team
All the Jets had to do was accept the fact that they had a rookie QB and call the game as if that was the case and we're 9-5 right now and sitting pretty. We threw away (literally) the playoffs in the first Buffalo game and buried ourselves today because we weren't willing to just run the ball, grind the clock out, and let the defense take care of the rest.
The front office has been doing a good job to aquire the positions that we need to be a successful football team. Woody Johnson is a terrible owner. But all in all we dont execute correctly, and we cant really blame this on a rookie head coach. Hes been coaching Defense for years he knows what he is doing
