This has probably been suggested/asked before but is there a way for mods to not allow specific posters to create threads. Let's take "baghead" for example. He creates a bunch of threads which add nothing to the message board but he is technically not breaking any rules. Can mods take away thread starting privileges without actually banning the person?

There should be a min. post count required to make threads on gamedays.

Yup! 1'000 posts should be good... even 500 for gods sake.

I don't like this as much because there are people who have a ton of posts but can still make threads. I just think people who make 4 threads in one afternoon which are pointless should have that privilege taken away.

While I have in the past, started some pretty stupid threads, I have tried to change the approach to adding a comment to an established thread that is at least somewhat associated with the subject matter, perhaps THAT message could get across to would be thread startes......

Preventing people from making threads would allow them to learn to post in existing threads and learn how to do it (as dumb as that sounds). If you just outright ban somebody they will come back after their week suspension and continue making stupid threads. It's kind of the like the whole, "should prisons focus on rehab or punishment" argument. However, in this case some people definitely deserve the electric chair with no chance at rehab while others just need to stop annoying me and others with threads.
