If basically everyone loses.. But Baltimore is looking great right now (so far) against Chicago and we basically need them to lose twice and they play Oakland in Week 17. We also need the Jags to lose again and Miami to lose again. So yeah, it's highly unlikely.

So much for hoping the Ravens losing today... Cutler already has 2 INTs and Ravens are about to go up by 2 scores.

    End the Playoffs Talk

I am sure the Ravens will defeat the Bears to go to (8-6), but even if they don't the Jets DO NOT belong in the playoffs. Too inconsistant and a terrible offense due to Sanchez/playcalling. The offense seemed to do pretty good today, maybe I am just used to them playing terrible. Anyway, after today the 6 seed will look like:
    6. Ravens (8-6) or maybe (7-7)
    7. Dolphins (7-7)
    8. Jaguars (7-7)
    9. Jets (7-7)
    10. Titans (7-7)
    11. Texans (7-7)
and maybe even 12. Steelers (7-7).

My point is lets not even talk about the playoffs. Mathmatically we will be alive, but we are more than dead.

    Depressing........

chances of getting in at 9-7 are like 2%, and that would require beating the Colts.

ravens would have to lose vs. Pittsburgh and at Oakland, and Miami would need another loss and so would Jacksonville

The Jets will win the Stanley Cup before they win a Super Bowl

Perhaps I meant this mostly for me, who never counts the Jets out until it is official. You know, like last year after the Seahawks loss. I knew that Bills or Jaguars win plus a Jets win would result in a Jets playoff spot and the Jets didn't even win. So I might have just been telling myself ITS OVER by making that thread. Sad though.

Yeah, I can understand that. I never count the Jets out until they are mathematically eliminated and I really do try to keep hope the whole time.

I don't think the Ravens/Bears game matters. The Jets need the Ravens to lose their conference game versus the Steelers so they have the same AFC record (pending winning out, of course). They would then beat them on common opponents.

I didn't read anything but let's put it this way. The Jets needed 4 other teams to die out to have a shot at maybe, just maybe, getting the last playoff spot.

It was a nice ride, but to think they had anything locked up is fucking stupid.

Well, if we don't make the playoffs, maybe we can spoil the Colts' perfect season and stir up some shit on the way out. Doubt that'll happen, but nothing to lose now.

Believe it or not, the Raiders could conceivably finish with the same record as the Jets.

Balt/Chi doesn't matter as much anymore

We need Baltimore to lose their remaining AFC game so we finish tied with them at 7-5 in the AFC barring winning out vs the Colts and Bengals.
