1/19/2013 Dear Diary: It's been little over a month since they said the world was gonna end. We're still here and the Jets have finally won the big game!! That was one fucking heck of a game! Sanchez 25-32 344 Yds 4TD 0INT.. Brandon Marshall 9 167 Yds Leon+S.Greene for 178 Yds rushing. JUST A COMPLETE PERFORMANCE!!! How about that bullet throw to Brandon Marshall in the late 2nd Quarter for 83 yards and a TD? I had a good feeling about this game but to come out and just embarass the Lions 39-3 was a bit unexpected. Gotta give props to Detroit though. They did, after all, have the best record in the NFC. I have to be honest. When Tom Brady was released early last year and picked up by the Lions, I was a bit sad that I wouldn't get to see his sorry ass play against my Jets ever again. To my surprise, the brief injury to Stafford in the 3rd Quarter did allow me to see my Jets lay not two, but three blows to his head in a single fucking drive!!! Such is the life of a backup QB. Joe Namath can get your soul back from the devil now! It looks like his contract is finally over! Sincerely yours, A Happy Jets Fan.
remember last year when sanchez threw 36 ints? i thought he'd never be good, but boy was i wrong!!! and getting marshall was an awesome move by tannie!!!!! oh and RIP schotty, we will miss you
Oh good comeback. For what it's worth, I keep it to remind everyone how quickly things change...Right now everyone thinks the sky is falling, and in a month it could be completely different. You never answered who the fuck keeps a diary though.
Today's 12/20, and in a month, things will be pretty damn same. The only difference will be that the Jets players will be cozy watching things from home. To answer your questions since you're so curious, i fucking keep a diary to count the miserable Jets Days of my life HAPPY?!
I guarantee you that in a month the vibe on this board will be different in some way. Either Sanchez has an amazing final two games and we all get really pumped about him, or we get a new OC who everyone loves. I'm positive of this. We will be happy about something before you know it--it wasn't that lock ago Brett Ratliff was the QB of the future and Chansi Stuckey was an amazing steal for us. I'm actually not that happy, but I feel worse for you. Thank you for asking.
It doesn't matter if the mood is a little bit more giddy in a month from now. It all comes back to the same point of misery. How long have you been watching this team? The recurring pattern is SOOO real, that it's scary.
If that were really the case though the anger and vitriol would not be of the same tone today. You speak as if we have the expectation that we will get our hearts broken. If that were really the case; the dejection following today's game would be of a more resigned and unsurprised tone. Jets fans are a lot more optimistic than they are willing to admit. Otherwise, they probably would've given up by now.
