He is a top five paid player on the team and is no where to be seen. I hated the guy from day one and said he was a bust before we drafted him. I live in Ohio and not one person that even lived within a 100 miles of Ohio State thought he would be a good NFL pick. BB suckered us again. I officially name him the BIGGEST draft bust of the Jets history if not the NFL. Now you may ask who am I, well no one, but then neither is he. The only reason Mangini gave us the trade to get to get Sanchez and the Edwards deal was he felt guilty over the Ghost pick. Nah, Mangini is just stupid!
It's not a true Sunday without a Ghost = Bust thread. I just wanted my turn to start it since I was the first one to call him a bust. You have to go back to his senior year in college but my posts are there. You all called me a darksider, troll, etc, I just was being a realist. You didn't have to be a psychic to know he was an emotionless workout wonder.
I think it is safe to say that Gholston is a bust at this point. Biggest bust in Jets history? maybe. Biggest bust in NFL history? Not even close.
When you say NFL history you could argue the point due to the HUGE contract which much of was garranteed and he was considered a top five pick by many. Also he was handed a starting job each year and couldn't beat out Casper.
You've hoped...You've prayed....you've even proclaimed far too prematurely... Some of you have waited as early s the pre season of his rookie year for this.. GHOLSTON IS A BUST!! Are you guys happy??? This is what some of you have wanted since day 1. Gholston is a bust. Woohoo!!!!!!! Wait a minute though. There's one problem....How does Gholston being a bust HELP the jets? You guys DO claim ton be jets fans right........?
every player picked in the top ten gets a huge contract. there have been other busts just as big and much bigger than ghost. but to answer the original question he is without a doubt a bust.
this is why the NFL should encourage rookie caps so teams don't throw away years of money on a bust....the NBA has that right with slotting of player salaries
