Every week their is always someone saying how shotty lost us this game. Did shotty make Clemens mess up the first field goal? Did he make the Second field goal go wide right? Did he run threw our field goal protection on the third? Did he grab the facemask on the last drive? Did he prevent revis from grabbing that last pick? No he didnt. Our Special teams lost us this game. Dont blame the defense because it is clear they are not clutch. They give us everything untill two minutes left but then they dip out. We have to know this now. We must win gmaes with 58 mins because those last two are not good enough
The offense has been a disgrace all season. His QB has not improved. The guy is out of his league. He should go back to his alma mater Florida if he wants to run gimmicky gayy option plays all day.
in addition to this if we had scored on all our FG's we would've scored 16 points... he makes the most moronic calls and he hasn't changed all season.
He will be blamed for all 3 field goal misses and Sanchez throwing 3 picks... because half the people on here need to blame him for everything.

Schottenheimer is a fucking disgrace! A teenager could call a better game than this imbecile. We should've had AT LEAST 17 points in the 1st half without trying.
He doesn't deserve the blame. But people like to put it on him because it makes them feel better: If it's Schotty fault, we fire him, problem solved. If there's a problem with the personnel, it's not an easy fix. This one's clearly on the players, but it hurts more to think that.
Let's remember that playcalling isn't the only thing the offensive coordinator does. He helps design the plays, comes up with the offensive gameplan, etc. He's more involved in the performance of the offense than just calling the plays. I really think if you need a scapegoat, he's a good one, because this defense has been very very good. It's the offense that has ultimately cost this team games.
Not clutch? They were clutch for us the entire game. It's not their fault that the offense can't do their job when the defense gave them the most unbelievable field position normally starting over the 35 yard line for the entire game. This offense is atrocious and Schottenheimer is the main reason for it. Moreso, he is in charge of Sanchez and he takes the blame for Sanchez' collapse as well. If someone needs to go this offseason it is unquestionably Schotty.
Look at the little things. The play design with both Cotch and Edwards within 5 yards of each other on the Final pick is a huge part of the problem. You need to spread the D back out not give them a reason to all clump togeather. So yes, you can partly blame shotty for the absolute failure of the offense to get anyting done today.
i'd like to see if we can hire kubiak as our off. coordinator, if he gets fired. at least time and time again they have a competent offense.
I absolutely hate Shotty, but no way this one goes on him. Can't miss 3 fgs and turn the ball over 3 times to 0 and win the game. We are lucky our defense even kept it close.
The problem with the final pick was that Sanchez threw it to the wrong fucking team. For my entire life I've seen passing plays that had two receivers close together, now I'm supposed to be mad about it? By the way, who's to say one of them didn't run the right route? This Schottenheimer hate is ridiculous. We have a rookie QB and mediocre receivers. With a better kicking game we have this one in the bag. Not to mention a 4th down stop at the end. He's not Bill Walsh or anything, but he's not that bad.
Schottenheimer hasn't put Sanchez in a position to succeed or given the defense a significant lead to work with. Obviously it's not all his fault but if there is anyone who has more consistently underachieved at their job on the team it is Schotty. Time for a new coordinator.

This is a very small percentage of the plays we run. - Schotty tries to pass the ball when the other team stacks the box with 8 or 9 defenders But somehow, according to Jet fans: - Schotty is too cute and runs a billion trick plays that don't work - Schotty doesn't run the ball enough and is commiting to the pass - Schotty is over-complicating the game for Sanchez Go figure
So your saying that ahving our two best weapons with in 5 yards of each other on that play was a good thing? Srsly that s about as dumb as it gets. They were far too close togeather and its nto the first time its been that way this season. Either one of them has no fucking clue about the playbook or the play book is completely fucked up. Cothcery is not Mediocre. Edwards is supposed to be very good and has elite skills. The design is flawed.
His playcalling is shit and never gets into a rythmn and he never allows his qb to get into a game with easily designed pass plays. Guy wont be here next year and for that we should be happy
