This WR class kind of makes me regret the Edwards trade... sure, good player but how much money will he want and how many balls we he drop!?
Talent wise Edwards is better than anyone in this draft besides Bryant probably, the thing is his hands do suck i dont get its clearly a mental thing he really shoud work with somebody to improve that. We could still grab a wr a little later maybe a guy like Briscoe or Williams drops but i really dont expect us to draft a wr early unless they magically fall to us in the 2nd. Looking back imagine how sick it would have be if Tanny grabed Percy Harvin after the Sanchez trade like he tried ... oh well But if you like this crop of recievers, 2011's is that much better AJ Green is the truth, Randy moss jr.
Edwards was a much better prospect entering his draft than Bryant is now. I wouldn't mind grabbing one of these talents if we can pick up a couple more mid round picks.
If I was Edwards I would seriously higher Jerry Rice and what ever it is he did in the pass from training to running the hills i would adopt his style... Rice wasnt the faster player or the most skilled he just had pure heart and determination to get the job done. How else could you explain a 4.5 - 4.6 guy beating a 4.2 - 4.3 guy.. its all about crisp routes and in the forth quarter dont be walking around sucking wind. The 4th quarter is when true Hall of Famers are made..
Anthony Davis heading to the league, surprising no one, according to Joe Schad. http://twitter.com/schadjoe
I agree, he could use a coach in the offseason and Jerry Rice would be an awesome one. I recall that Jerry practiced his hand strength by catching bricks from his dad or uncle.
I agree but it's still early, this time last year NOBODY thought Jason Smith would be the first tackle off the board.
While no one saw him as a surefire top ten guy, Smith did have all the physical characteristics that NFL teams look for in a Left Tackle. Davis doesn't fit the mold at all, and has a huge amount of motivation questions hanging on his head. The tape will show that, while he could be great when he wanted, clearly didn't give top effort 100% of the time. I see him in the middle of the first, and as a RT or guard.
Ryan Matthews and Donovan warren are gone http://twitter.com/schadjoe http://bleacherreport.com/articles/312206-nfl-draft-links-1221-cb-donovan-warren-declares
