FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has returned to practice for the first time since spraining the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against Buffalo on Dec. 3. AFC East blog Graham ESPN.com's Tim Graham writes about all things AFC East in his division blog. ? Blog network: NFL Nation Sanchez, wearing short sleeves Wednesday despite near-freezing temperatures, appeared unimpeded by the injury that sidelined him for New York's 26-3 win at Tampa Bay on Sunday. Coach Rex Ryan said earlier this week that he wanted to see how Sanchez came out of practice Wednesday before determining whether the rookie or backup Kellen Clemens would start Sunday at home against Atlanta. Sanchez was injured during the Jets' win over the Bills in Toronto, and spent last week rehabilitating at the team's facility. He didn't travel with the team to Tampa Bay. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4748118
Cimini thinks that there's an issue with Sanchez's footwork... -------------- Sanchez practices, decision coming soon ? By Rich Cimini As expected, QB Mark Sanchez (sprained knee) participated today in practice. The full extent won't be known until later, but he was moving without a noticeable limp during the window open to the media. It's believed that he's wearing a brace on his right knee, but that couldn't be confirmed because he was wearing sweat pants. The Jets practiced outdoors, in chilly conditions, and Sanchez went sleeveless. As expected, he and Kellen Clemens split first-team reps in the early portion. Though Sanchez didn't show a limp, his footwork seemed a bit less than 100 percent in a drop back drill with the other QBs. Presumably, Rex Ryan will announce the starter after practice. As of this morning, the players still didn't know, but the feeling was that Sanchez will get the nod. Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jets/#ixzz0ZsZYkZLk
So only one brace then? I thought he always had the right knee brace but that he would wear one on the left now...
Not always, he was injured during the Panther game and wore the brace after that. The very next game he injured the other knee- He'll look Namath like out there with the dual braces.
Listened to the whole PC and Rex said he had both braces on and that he was prob going to keep them both on.. where did you read he had only one?
Praise be to Revis! I like Sanchez practicing in short sleeves. Good way to get accustomed to the cold weather.
Revis Christ laid hands on Sanchez's right knee and healed him. Revis was about to lay hands on his left knee but Sanchez started to get hard so Revis backed off
From a previous post near the top of this thread: I suppose that isn't the same as saying he only had 1 brace on, plus I was incorrect in thinking that the right knee was the one he previously had braced, not the new one
 Another great avatar too. edit: how come I can't see the three wise men bearing their solemn gifts of quickness, strength and ball skills?
You know you suck as a backup QB when everyone is praying that the struggling rookie QB is able to start so you don't see the field.
Good to see the SoCal Kid practice in short sleeves. He's getting acclimated to the weather and that's certainly a positive. If it snows on Sunday, we can simply use the Clemens Game Plan and run it down ATL's throat until they gag..
just by watching marks press conference he sounds so down its ridiculous...could this be a sign he already knows hes not playing sunday? maybe its just me overanalyzing it but we need mark!...clemens blowsss
