It would be criminal for Revis not to be in the pro-bowl. If anything, he is even better now than ever.

Don't worry about Revis, don't worry about Mangold, don't worry about Jones or Harris. They'll all get in.

After the nonsensical fan voting, the so-called professionals get their say, and that's when the less popular superstars nudge their way in.

Then, Roger Goodell, Paul Tagliabue and the ghost of Pete Rozelle cut the head off a live chicken and let it run around a game board until it falls on John Lynch's spot.

One thing that has be bothered by the current voting... is that Lousaka Polite isnt even in the top 5 in the AFC for FBs...

Polite has been the best FB in the league this year. Laying wood in blocks, and has converted 100% of his 3rd/4th and short attempts this season. On 3rd and 1, teams know its coming, and still cant stop him. And he has been devastating laying blocks this year... and a huge reason why we are one of the best rushing teams in the league...

Tony Richardson was voted in every year until he came to NY and now gets no votes. Jets fans can't be the most efficient at stuffing the ballot box.

Fan Votes only count for 1/3 of the vote, so I'm confident the real players that should be there will be there.

There is a 11 Vikings leading positions right now, that's just ridiculous.

Was it not the same with the Redskins last year?

I'd rather take a nap than watch the Pro Bowl.

I dunno, I think it could be interesting this year. Imagine Peyton/Favre/Brees breaks a finger on their throwing hand a week before the Super Bowl? I think there's going to be a lot of Super Bowl players trying to stay healthy, and a lot of playoff losers trying to prevent that from happening. ESPECIALLY if the Pats go the distance.

Pro-bowl don't mean shit, just like the all star game in baseball.

I want Revis to not be invited to the pro bowl, so he will be pissed off all of next season.

The only real goals are Superbowl rings or the Hall of Fame.

    period...

I highly doubt anyone playing in the superbowl will participate in the pro-bowl.

What about money? Or fame? Or records? Or general respect? Or a cushy announcer gig after your playing days are over?

Just because they're not your priorities, doesn't mean they're not the players'. I bet you less than fifty percent of the players in the NFL are playing on Sunday with Hall of Fame aspirations.

Amazing how kickers are getting more votes than any defensive player in the NFL.

Please tell me that this isn't true.

If Revis doesn't get in and Champ Bailey does then that is fucking bullshit. Also why the hell is Vinatieri in the lead he hasn't done shit all year and he's been injured. Fuck the pro bowl.

Wasn't that a new rule instituted after Jason Taylor threw a fit and cried when he though shawne merriman was going to win DPOY after he was suspended earlier in the season?

The players care about it because most of them have Pro Bowl bonuses in their contracts. Teams put those bonuses in there because when a player has a lot of Pro Bowl votes, it's not just that team's fanbase that is recognizing the player, but a large spectrum of casual fans know that player's name and may buy his jersey. The Pro Bowl became a joke the moment the casual NFL fan had a chance to help choose the players.

The coaches will vote in Revis. The coaches recognize how fucking great he's been this season.

Also, David Harris should go to the pro-bowl. He's a fucking beast, but it is a popularity contest so....

Wes Welker should go as well, and Lou Polite.
