I can see where Revis Christ might be offensive but its not nearly as offensive as the liberal use of the words "gay" and "fagot" on this board. As has been pointed out, Revis Christ (if anything) is a compliment while people use those other words as insults and in a derogatory fashion.
Check out a movie called "Doubt." It stars Meryl Streep, who plays a very strict, dislikeable nun in the mid-1960's. She suspects her priest of drilling little choir boys in her church, but has no proof to go on. She persists in confronting him with her suspicions and eventually gets him to admit it and leave the church. Powerful movie and a great performance by Streep.
