why does religion always get peoples panties in a bunch? its a joke and god made us in his image. he must have a sense of humor too.
The point is, what makes all these easily offended people think they are so special? Everyone is offended by something. Are you gonna cry about it, or get over it? What I find really offensive to my god is that all you weirdos go around calling Jesus of Nazareth, who was a really nice man from all accounts I've read, a god. I can't believe that in this day and age, people are still elevating a man to god status. I and my god are offended.
If my recall is correct (which it is cause I have memorized most of his HBO specials) I believe the quote is: Do you believe in God? No BOOM! Dead Do you believe in God? Yes Do you believe in MY God? No BOOM! Dead My God has a bigger dick than your God!
Easily offended? This isn't a small issue for a lot of people. This is a major part of life for a lot of people.. I'm not going to cry about it, or act like it has to stop right now. I know I have gotten over it, shortly after it started. It is what it is, distasteful, but there is no need to get bent over it either. Some may not view it in the same light as me though. Which is my point, it is a sensitive issue for a lot of people. That should be respected. I know I am just stating that it is offensive, distasteful, and stupid. At the same time, if members of this board find it that neccessary, then so be it. I can't help that, but I can point out how fucking dumb I think it is. Simple as that. It isn't going to change my path in life either way though.
I do not believe in god. I do not follow Jesus. I do believe in Darrell Revis. I watch and pray for Revis every Sunday, and he usually appears.... That said, Revis Island is a much more bad ass phrase.
Why did you have to go there? Did we not have a thread about Hispanic or Latinos? It's Hispanic, man. :jets::up:
Hispanics are people from Hispaniola by definition...though they prefer to be called Dominican or Haitian.
It's always offensive when you feel that the things you believe in are being tarnished or threatened. It's normal.
I could have sworn someone else on this board mentioned that God is not a Jets fan. I'm pretty sure following along the lines of the Bible that Revis IS Jesus incarnate because he is made to suffer with a team that will never again win a championship. Then again, he may be here to redeem the team from the omen created by Namath selling his soul to the Devil. I dunno - could go either way....
