We'd both be 8-6. In that case would we be ahead of them in the Wild Card or would they be ahead?

Division record has nothing to do with it between teams from different divisions.

Yeah I realized that but I was too lazy to go back and edit my post again. It'll come down to who has done better against common teams or who has the better strength of victories.

Posted that originally but we would have the same conference record, so that's not right either

Probably, would be the first applicable tie breaker.

If Jets and Broncos both finish 10-6, Jets have the edge..Tiebreaker goes to conference record (7-5) (7-5). Next goes to record vs common opponents. We both beat NE, and Cin (hypothetically)...but we'd have wins over OAK and IND and denver has losses to both. The Oakland loss is hypothetically...however even if they beat OAK we still would have a 1 game edge cause of Indy.

Does OAK count since they play them twice? Ditto NE.

does the fact that we played NE twice factor into common games?

Just one fucking win, in the games vs Miami, Jacksonville or the Bills and our path to the playoffs would be soooo much easier. As of now, we gotta win out. We are not winning any tie breakers.

If we both end up 10-6, we should have the tiebreaker.

Against common teams, I believe we'd both be 4-1, and I think we might have higher strength of wins. That's what Yahoo sports playoff scenario generator seems to think, anyway.

yeah the strength of victory has to be stronger. The Oakland game being a leg up.

Forgot about Oakland.. if they lose that game, they'd be 3-2 v. common teams and we'd be 4-1.

What's sad about the Jet's situation......they can win out and still not make the playoffs.

The Jets may win out...the Colts will be resting P.M. and some staters in 2 weeks. Atl & Cincy are beatable at home.

They are going to need help from Miami/Denver/Jax. Baltimore is on the edge.

How about we stop worrying about situations. There are way to many that can happen. Lets put all focus on beating Atlanta.

After next week we can start talking about situations because then theirs only a few that can happen not a million.

I also think after next week the playoff picture is going to be alot more clear. I expect at least 2 teams in the race to lose next week and hopefully its not the jets.

next week will be huge for us. If we win and Indy wins, anything can happen. chances are good we pick up most of the Jags 19% chance of getting the #6 seed.

god forbid Tennesee does us a big favor and knocks off Miami. If those three things happen we move into great position.

People will lose games down the stretch, if the Jets take care of bussiness and make it to 10-6, thats all we can worry about for now, let the chips fall where they may.
