    3. our OL
    4. CB's
    5. QB's Even if Chad comes back 100% how long will he be on the field before he get hurt again. Back ups are just too young.
    6. We have no proven pass rusher since our dumb asses got rid of Abe.
    7. Head coaching

Yes I call myself #1 Jets Fan but I still have to face reality.

How can you make a judgement on the head coaching without ever seeing him in action? He was highly regarded, and I will reserve judgement until he's coached a few games at least. I already like his attitude and his philospohy regarding the players he drafted.

I've never seen Mangini as a head coach so I don't have any idea what effect he'll have on the team next year.

I don't see him as a weakness though. I need evidence of some sort before I can form an opinion.

how long did it take Parcells to become a good coach? How long did it Billick to become a good coach? With the teams Parcells had in NY who couldn't win with that team. Tell what Billick did for the Cleveland Browns?

1.no one knows how good or bad our coaching is yet
2.our wr are fine and evryone will find that out this season
3.our secondary is young and talented and will be a solid group for years to come.
4.OL has depth this season and seems as if it has been greatly improved

however i agree with u on points 5 and 6 about chad and abe. but who knows mayb chad will stay healthy due to a improved line(or ramsey steps it up) and mayb sumone like trevor johnson or bryan thomas breaks out this season.

Head coaching will be fine brad smith is going to develop this year coles is great
OUR O LINE? Have you been in some sort of a coma the last few months and dont tell me dbrick and mangold wont be good this season because they were the highest pick at there positions
our cb's will be fine because the last time i checked when mangini was defensive coordinator the secondary did fine without ty law. So that cancels out head coaching
Ramsey is a fine (he is a veteran) qb and will win ggames while clemmens learns the offense
Ellis is proven enough to me and bryan thomas is dying for a shot
and stop putting head coaching for everything

1,2 & 7 - You have no idea how good or bad Mangini is going to be. What are you basing this on?
3 - Coles is a good receiver, not great, but good. I will agree that we don't have a true #1 receiver. I don't think having a true #1 receiver = a team that sucks. Our other receivers are servicable. Who is the #1 receiver on the 05 NFC champs?
3.2 - IMO our O-line will be better than last year even with 2 rookies on it. Last year it was awful and I don't see how it could be worse. Out of the gate, I see the O-line as average with the potential to become good to very good by the end of the season. I don't agree that is sucks.
4 - Dyson, Miller and Barret are a formidable group IMO. Dyson was a starter on the NFC champs, Barret HAS performed at a high level and could come back to that form, Miller should be better with a year of experience. Along with creative schemes from our defensive minded HC, I think the corner situation will not "suck".
5 - Maybe our biggest question mark. I think Ramsey has all the tools to be a good NFL QB in the right system with good coaching. Penny when healthy has proven to be very good.
6 - Creative coaching will lead to pressure from different areas.

Well, welcome to a rebuilding year, "#1 Jets Fan". Head coaching is TBD, but regardless, I wouldn't have it at the top of my list. The Jets made the playoffs with a pretty lousy head coach in Edwards, because he had a good foundation early on thanks to Parcells and co. I disagree with wide receiver assessment. The fact that Coles was as productive as he was last year with no quarterback or offensive line to protect said quarterback is pretty impressive.

I think the OL is vastly improved thanks to free agency and the draft...

I think Mangini will do a lot of scheming to get sacks a la Patriots so not having a true pass rusher won't be too bad of a loss....

But most of all, I think you're a glass half empty angry man that needs a good woman whose warm breasts you can snuggle in between on cold nights.

I think that we will get 7 wins, MAX... 5-6 is probably more likely.

    1. Mangini... hasnt coached an NFL game yet; but i like what i see so far
    2. Schott... hasnt coached a game as an O-C yet, but he came from SD where he helped develop Brees and it was a successful offense
    3. WR... Coles is good, McCareins has shows flashes (i dont like him), Cotchery seems to have a lot of Promise, and BRad Smith looks electrifying
    3. Our O-Line doesnt look bad; we will go through growing pains, but it seems that it could be a good, young line
    4. CBs... i think we're not bad. Dyson seems good, Miller shows a lot of promise, and Barrett is underated/hated on this board.
    5. QBs - i agree... problem. Pennington is very injury prone, and Ramsey hasn't shown much in WAS. Personally, i like Brooks Bollinger, but he isnt a starter in this league.
    6. no pass rush - agree. Unless Bryan Thomas finally develops into his first round pick/talent
    7. Sutton? Don't know much about him, but it wont be completely him. Mangini comes froma defensive scheme that helped win 3 super bowls so it will be his defense that Sutton will just reiterate to the players from Mangini

Classic Jets fan post. Cry doom and gloom, and then when things don't suck as bad as they thought, they just proclaim how happy they are that they were wrong. However, if things do go their way, and the team does suck, they laugh at the "sunshiners", and tell them what idiots they were to have the audacity to support the team.

    A brilliant strategy.
