if Clemens would've landed that "People's Elbow" on Mangold......Mangold would've been carried out on a stretcher and put on IR.
then we should have Clemens as the lead blocker, throwing that elbow at defenders. Maybe if he learns to throw the ball with his elbow, he can become the next Matt Schaub. Cut off his right forearm and leave a nub.
if you mean the type of showcasing like when you take a huge shit and leave it in the toilet for someone else to see than yes.
this could possibly be the stupidest post I have ever read. Showcasing Clemens takes a front seat over trying to win out? The guy has lost three qb battles and last week our CS entrusted so much they allowed him to throw the ball two times. This is a thought that should have remained in your head.
the only showcasing thats going on is clemens showcasing himself to stay in the league next year. he should thank ryan and sanchez' knee for the opp. jil
random question: who's the holder now that KC is starting this week? Ainge? Weatherford again? I remember being at the Carolina game - after Revis Christ scored his TD that game, Clemens was running along the sideline like a madman trying to find his helmet and get on the field to hold for the PAT before the playclock ran out. It would've been funny if it didn't almost cost a delay of game on a routine PAT. Did they show that on TV?
haha good one. just got a scary thought...remember the 'winning pass' from KC to McCareins in the Ravens game, right?, well let's hope Braylon isn't this years goat in the same situation.....
lol good god, some fans are so "out there" it's amusing. a third round pick, lol. op needs to go see a doctor, the mental type!
If Clemens throws the ball more than 15 times we are going to lose. Tampa is ranked last in run defense and we are ranked first in running the ball. Jones better get the ball close to 30 times and Greene must get it at least 15 times. POUND THE ROCK and let Freeman go out and beat us.
Agreed 100%. This isn't a showcasing by the Jets but more so, a prime time audition by Clemens. After that stinker in Buffalo, combined with a expiring contract, Clemens has to realize that this Sunday might well be the end of the road for him as teams don't keep holders under contract. If we get up by enough, perhaps Schotty will have enough mercy to let Clemens air it out a bit for any scout who is either in the audience or watching on Sunday Ticket.
I will admit that I was wrong about KC. I thought he just needed the time to prepare with the starters to create some sort of chemistry. Wow was I wrong. Mr. wizard he isn't. He looked like a fool out there. I can't believe I thought he was worthy of the starting job in the preseason. If he starts again, lets hope we have the same outcome. If it comes down to him having to win the game for us, I will probably be drinking heavily to soften the blow when he produce sthat epic fail.
