Nice quote by B. Edwards “Kellen’s similar to Derek Anderson, who I played with in Cleveland,” said Edwards. SHOULD THAT MAKE ME HAPPY!?!?!?!?!?!?!? :S
Okay, see I didn't see MB get any sort of feedback on referring to me that way. All I saw was you labelling my response to MB's statement as an attack. If I missed your comments to MB thats mybad.
Yeah, that certainly gave me pause as well. I guess it all depends on which Derek Anderson he was referring to.
Oh no, did he really say that? Where? I have him on my twitter and didn't catch it. In all honesty I'm not that worried about KC starting against TB. There hasn't been a ton of times this season where Dirty has made a play and we've stepped back and said "Wow, thank God we have this guy playing QB!". All KC has to do is just play mediocre and we'll be fine!
So this week will pretty much guarantee that he will not reach the 65 completion threshold that would bump the 3rd we traded to Cleveland up to a 2?
Ryan told him not to go. That's why he is not going. If he wants to show leadership instead of being a prima donna, he's going to listen to the head coach when the head coach tells him to do something that is what is best for the team. As for learning from this game, what more is he going to learn from standing on the sideline than he can learn from being in the film room on Monday and Tuesday where his coaches can break down the film for him and teach him, offering them their full attention instead of having to divvy it up between trying to coach the players on the field to win a game and break down each play for the rookie. Holy Hell, how can you not get this? You cannot possibly be this ignorant.
From the little taste we got from Clemens this past week I think we should see what Ainge or O'connoll has. He looked horrible!
If you mean the fill-in action he got on the spur of the moment, then you are not basing your opinion on a very indicative sample size. I would rather see what he can do with a week of preparation and the knowledge that he will be playing ahead of time. If he chokes this week, then we'll talk, but until then, y'all are just being bad fans.
Hey, I thought he was paid to be ready the spur of the moment? And I am not a bad fan, I just saw him look like a nervous gittery QB. Thats not the style of QB I think can lead a team.
He looked like a guy thrown into game action on the spur of the moment. All I'm saying is to give a guy that you supposedly root for the benefit of the doubt.
I hope a pterodactyl flies into the stadium and rips Kellen Clemens' head off and eats it before he gets the chance to throw a pass.
You have to love these fans......" Our backup isn't good enough to handle this. He sucks. Hey, I know, lets put one of the guys that are BEHIND him in instead ! Yea, that's the ticket ! " :rofl2: What is it they say......oh yea...... Brilliant !!
I hope a T-Rex grabs that pterodactyl on his way into the stadium and rips his wings off like you used to do to lightening bugs.
Sorry never been a clemons fan. He just does not have the poise and presence you need to be successful. If he had "it" we would not have brought in Farve last year or drafted Sanchez for this year. I hope I am wrong but so far the GM and coach have not felt comfortable enough to give him another shot after 3 years ago.
Your imaginer must be broken. T-Rex riding pterodactyl vs. jesus on a robot...this may need its own thread.
This thread makes me realize one thing for certain. I don't have much faith in our offensive coaching staff. It really should not be an issue to have the backup QB (with 4 yrs. on the team) start a game like this. We have a very good defense and a sterling run game. Tampa is 1-11 fer chrissakes... And yet, thinking about Clemens under center scares me. Add that to our strange playcalling, and I see potential disaster. I love being a JETS fan...
No doubt, this is the type of game that the Jets ALWAYS lose, but I have a real hard time going doom and gloom here. It really shouldn't be that hard when you're averaging 4.7 yards a rush and your opponent is 31st in stopping the run. All Schotty needs to do is run the ball 50 times (and not put in holding-machine Hartsock). All Clemens has to do is not fumble the exchange, handoff, or when he's scrambling. There is no way that Clemens is so incompetent that he can't do that after a week of practicing with the first team.
