I think he will do just fine, all the snaps in practice make a huge difference, the only thing that concerns me is that the Bucs will put 8 men in the box and force the Jets to pass the ball, if we do pass I hope KC recognizes one on one coverage and throw the ball deep if the Bucs fill the box, just to soften up the run defense.

140 and 1. He'll only throw about 20 times, max.

I actually believe he'll go for 150-200 and 1 TD, but what fun is it to bet the the safe favorite? So I went 300+ and 3 TD!

This is why I usually lose big at the track  ...but when I win, it's BIG

If Clemens stinks up the joint, will we see finally see Ainge in a real NFL game? I doubt it.. I also doubt if Clemens gets one TD and he'll be hard pressed to break 100yds passing as well. I hope TJ and Greene gets lots of rest cause Ryan and BS are gonna run them both for perhaps a NFL record number of carries in a single game.

i am a huge fan of kc. have been since he was at oregon, so needless to say i was excited when we drafted him. then he had his shot but didnt do anything with it to get him a starting spot. but now he has a chance to play with a better offense/defense. im curious to see how he will play sunday. granted he is not going up against the best team, but here he has another chance. i hope he does well

This will be the first time Clemens ever plays with:

    1. An NFL caliber offensive line

    2. A running game the defense must respect

    3. A good amount of clipboard time

    4. A defense that isn't sure to collapse

He hasn't taken any (or likely very few) snaps with the ones in practice since the 3rd preseason game. Sanchez DOES have more NFL playing time than Clemens at this point. Let's not forget that admist the "Sanchez is a rookie" mantra.

This is really the first time Clemens has been thrown into a situation he can succeed in. He's getting PT with the ones, he will be mentally prepared to play, he has an O line, a running game and a good defense.

I think he'll be in the 200 yard range, and one to two short TD passes. I think he will likely throw one INT. I also think Jones may get more dump off passes, and Cotch, who Clemens knows well will have a nice stat day.

The biggest thing I like about this? I think Sanchez will be helped immensly by getting the pressure off and putting in a little clipboard time. Let him hang with the coaches, listen to what they say to Clemens during the game, get a different perspective. Seriously, I think sitting for a game just might be a great thing for Sanchez... at least I hope so, our team's future rests on that kid.

First off..tbj!...great to see you bud.

Secondly..I totally agree. I think Sanchez has a bright future in front of him...but lets face it...up to this point he is losing games and not winning games. If KC does what Sanchez was asked to do the last couple weeks...we should be fine.\

The only part I disagree with is him being on the sidelines...I can swear I read earlier in the afternoon that he is not even making the trip...I will try to confirm that.

    edit: From thy ny post:
Sanchez, who suffered a slight tear of the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee while diving for a first down against the Bills last Thursday, sat out practice today and will be rested through the weekend, rehabbing the injury here in New Jersey rather than make the trip to Tampa.

Aquib Talib.. remember that name.. if bad things happen this week.. it is going to be because of that man.. I really don't wanna see clemens throwing the ball more than 5 MAYBE 6 yards.. Which means our defense has to play good and not put us in positions where we need to throw deep..

Not traveling with the team? I think that is a very bad mistake. I mean an awful decision. If he can't even be the emergency QB, WTF? They go with Clemens, Ainge and O'whateverhisname is? If he doesn't travel... I have to wonder if he's done for the year, and that would be a very bad development.

i stopped reading after "this will be the first time clemens plays with" because i couldn't stomach someone else trying to justify clemens lack of production.. enough really..

he isn't going because Rex DOES NOT WANT HIM TO PLAY.. that why he isn't practicing or going.. Rex knows the temptation of throwing him in the game will be hard to not give in to.. especially when KC is blowing against TB.. so the only way to ensure he doesn't play is to make sure he isn't there..

and all this development crap is stupid.. being on the sideline doesn't do anythin for you.. its the post-game film time and self-assessment meetings you do with coaches..

Wow, you are like a fukin expert. I bow to your superior knowledge. So... did you know that the emergency QB can ONLY play IF the other two QB's get hurt? It's an NFL rule... you fuckin empty barrel.

The emergency QB can play, but when you put him in, the other 2 QBs cannot step on the field again. At least this is how I interpreted the rule

In the press conference Rex said he decided to leave Sanchez in NY because he was going to have 3 full days of rehab/training.

I'm guessing what he thought is that while we can afford to go against TB without Sanchez we need him for the ATL, IND and CIN games.

I too would have liked to see Sanchez on the sideline getting a feel for the game from the sidelines... but if Rex's priority is having the kid ready for the Falcons game this prob is the best decision.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what's going on. Rex can say his decision has nothing to do with the opponent all he wants, but the extra rehab and rest he'll get by staying home gives the team a much better chance at a healthy Sanchez for the final 3 games. He's all-in on being able to beat Tampa with the backup QB in hopes of having a healthy starter for the final stretch.

108 yards, 0TD, 0 INT, 2 fumbles, none lost. Perfect for what we need.
