I expect that they will stack the box. And I expect that KC will be throwing the ball down the field when they do. And I expect these bizarro KC haters to go ballistic if he has a good game and the Jets win. I just want the Jets to win.
Freeman's started half as many games as Mark Sanchez, and he's 1-5 as a starter. Also, 7 of his 10 INTs have been in the redzone. Next time, think before you post.
lol i remember that i was so mad. also if u remember coles dropped one right in the endzone too, not as bad as mcareins tho. kellen clemens isnt that bad he just has to hold onto the damn ball.
but its a great way for him to shine against an inferior team. and if he blows it then he should be cut.
After the Thurs. nite game, I think I'd rather see Rex Ryan under center against Tampa. He looks pretty good in practice. Seriously, at this point in the season, with all the speculation on Clemens' future with the Jets, I'd really like to see what Ainge can do. His college career was impressive.
About what can we speculate? There are four QBs on the roster, one of which was acquired through a trade this preseason, and Clemens is the only one with an expiring contract. He's gone.
I knew this was going to happen. Just a heads up- NEVER listen to what Rex says about injuries, especially when he says "optimistic"
Well, the expectations are low, so any production is a plus for Clemens. Worst case, he sucks and maybe Ainge gets a shot. I hope the defense is in good shape because this may be one of those 6-3-type games where the defense is on the field the whole time. I'd rather he throw the ball in the ground the whole day and let the defense win it than to throw INTs.
I had to stop reading after 3 pages...some of you guys are making this so much bigger than it is for one week against Tampa Bay. It took us 10 games to figure it out but the formula for winning is pretty simple for us. Run it over 40 times, pass it less than 20 (mostly safe passes), and let the D do their thing and we'll be okay. Whether it's Sanchez, Clemens, or Ainge won't matter a whole lot. Keep it simple and don't ask the QB to do much. At this stage of their careers, given the gameplan above, I see little difference between what we can expect from Sanchez and Clemens. We'll win with D and running game. Please, relax.
my first reaction as i read is... hey wait a second this sounds alot like when we were playing buffalo the first time... people sure are awfully confident about winning this game. this is also why i was wondering earlier in the week why everyone was so confident that sancheese was tough enough to play through this. everyone was so sure that he would play and here we are... no sancheese.
Until he' gone, he's here. I'd be shocked if he's still here next year, but until it's official, we're stuck with him. And the game Sunday should be interesting.
We are playing a 1-11 football team, if Clemens isn't good enough to manage the game to defeat a 1-11 team then there is a serious problem. He'll do fine, safe throws, and a lot of running.
what about the other side? Maybe this is worse than we all thought. Or Ryan's decision is for the long term and not for this maybe, if other teams lose, outside chance, god I hope they make it, shot at the playoffs - its for next season. sanchez wasn't happy about the decision, so I gather that he was getting ready to play on Sunday. Honestly, with all this playoff talk as if the jets are going to make it - sit the kid, and make sure his career isn't injury riddled like the last era us jets fans went through. I'd like to see a QB go a full 16 games in 3 consecutive seasons for this franchise.
