This is so. This is his game now, this is his shot to either win or to fuck up. No one will ever be able to say he didn't get a chance. But it's still a team effort, let's not forget. So I think the entire team will rally around this, I really do. I think we have a good game on Sunday and kick ass.
I will be rooting for the Jets....and hoping Clemens holds the fort. But let's be serious here.....are some of you really going to continue on with the "oh he's rusty" excuses or continue to hang your hats on his 4th quarter performance from like 3 years ago?! Because it's getting a little ridiculous.
That's what needs to happen, but I've got a bad feeling that's not what BS has in mind. If we handcuff him this game, I think a loss is pretty much guaranteed.
When he couldn't beat out a rookie with a 3 year head start in the system there were no more excuses. His play last week magnified why he didn't win the competition. Hopefully he plays well, but I'm not counting on it.
The team has lost as many games as it has won. The team does not as of today deserve to be in the playoffs. So yea, there was talk, but it was just talk.

We are playing the Bucs. Freeman should throw a few ints. Our pass D will eat him up. They will have to beat us on the ground and Cadillac isn't any better than the RBs we have faced. Although we may have some trouble vs. Winslow. KC > Freeman
I guess the same basis as you, you are declaring that he is the worst QB in the league right now. You are basing this off of his little to no experience. Same as myself. He has shown promise in games that he has been given the chance to gain a glimpse of chemistry with the team. He has played like shit when he hasn't been given that chance. I'm not defending his play as of late but I don't think it is fair to declare him a "Grossman" type player yet. I don't think it is fair for anyone to declare him the Jets miracle either. I just simply think he has displayed in years past, that he can manage games. Even give us a chance to win them. IE: Jets Vs Ravens.
I disagree. Ryan made a statement the other day that Sanchez "was fine" and that of course you start your starting QB at this point in the season, no matter who you're playing. Now all of a sudden, Clemens is starting? There's more to this than we know right now. And the fact that Sanchez is upset with this decision doesn't bury my fears that he's more injured than we thought. The kid is such a young rookie that he'd be upset if he was in a wheelchair. So the fact that he's upset doesn't tell me anything about his true injury prognosis.
This is the way I see it. Other than Leon being out, everyone else on O is relatively healthy. KC will have had all week to practice and prepare. TB certainly does not have an above average D. This game is tailor made for a backup Qb to do well. If he doesn't, all the Clemens haters will get to say I told you so. A loss eliminates more or less even the possiblity of making the playoffs, but they were a very long shot, anyway. It's all good. Heh.
