Jesus...what pisses me off the most is this: When the Jets win, all of the ass-clowns that think Clemens is a good quarterback will be here creating posts about how Kellen Clemens is so much better than Mark Sanchez.
Look...we have the No.1 rushing attack...No.2 defense. tampa is like 25th on offense and 26th on defense. If we cant go in there and win even with Kellen we dont deserve the playoffs.
Well - obviously the best thing that can happen is him lighting it up. He may prove valuable enough to get something as an RFA?
I don't think KC has a future here, but you guys are WAY to critical of the guy. It's not like Grossman at all. Grossman had a couple years worth of experience to fuck things up, KC has 7-8 starts under his belt? Come on... Not fair at all. I actually have a good feeling about this. I don't know why, but I do. The Grossman comparison is extremely unfair though.
Kellen gets his shot to shut the naysayers up. Unfortunately even with a victory I think I'll be doing a lot of talking at around 4:00 eastern time on how much he sucks.
Good call yeah lets hope he rips Tampa apart so we can get rid Kellen and watch Ainge during the off season.
The real question is how bad is this injury to Sanchez? Is this just precautionary? I didn't hear the press conference. I can see TB coming out and playing hard and seeing this as an insult to them and winning.
1st down - Handoff to T. Jones 2nd down - Handoff to S. Greene 3rd down - Handoff to T. Jones First down .... (repeat)
Kellen should throw the ball 20 times maximum. A lot of that should be screens, hitches to Keller, etc. I think he's perfectly capable of running the same offense we've been running the last few weeks, with less emphasis on the deep ball. Tampa Bay is really horrendous. We should still win this game. The next question is will Sanchez be ready for Atlanta, and if he is, what will essentially two weeks off have done to his game?
That's my thought and maybe why Rex went this way. Clemens just needs to not kill us, it's hysterical how people here all have jumped off his bandwagon--two years and three passes ago he was the next Tom Brady.
I agree. Besides, I'm probably in the minority, but I think Clemens is due for a good game anyway. Okay, he's not Sanchez, but he's very familiar with the 1's by now and knows all the plays. If the O-line steps up and protects him pretty well, he'll have a good game... good enough to win. I just hope Schotty doesn't over-compensate and restrict him to such a degree that he can't air it out when the opportunity is there. If we start playing scared and playing "not to lose," we surely will. Go Clemens!
