Skip Holtz is a damn good football coach. I don't know if he'd be the right guy for Notre Dame, but he should definitely get a job offer from a Big Six team.

Indeed, Holtz has built an impressive program at East Carolina. I don't know if he's ready for the spotlight that would accompany filling his father's shoes at Notre Dame, but I agree that he should be a serious candidate for some high profile jobs.

I'm thinking Skip Holtz is a better fit at UVA.

I was thinking the same thing. I think Holtz will end up in the ACC.

Richmond's great head coach Mike London took the UVA job on Monday.

He was the logical choice already having worked on Groh's staff two separate times during his stint at UVA.

London was definitely a good fit, I still hope Skip finds his way out CUSA.

Kelly shouldn't interview until after his season is complete. I hate when coaches do that kinda shit.

Recruiting. They need to be in place as soon as possible to get a class together.

Looks pretty clear that Kelly will replace Weis. An announcement is expected within the next few days.

    Great news for Irish fans.

They were always relevant in recruiting...always will be. Weis brought in a lot of talent, but couldn't produce wins and the same goes for Tyrone Willingham.

I'm a huge Brian Kelly supporter - I think this guy has what it takes to become an all-time great. He's had success everywhere he's been: Grand Valley State, Central Michigan, Cincy, and now hopefully he'll turn Notre Dame into a powerhouse.

Not just anybody can go to Notre Dame. You actually have to be smart and that puts them at a huge disadvantage with every major conference in the country.

    You're wrong...as usual.

Notre Dame consistently brings in 4 and 5 star recruits - the main disadvantage they had in 2009 was Charlie Weis. This 2009 Irish team was incredibly talented, especially on offense, and Weis proved that he's a god awful coach.

Only recently has that been a problem. They just need to bring back the Holtz recruiting rules.

Only if ND alums suddenly become satisfied with being a sometime, rather than perennial, contender.
