I was very critical of Schottenheimer for the play-calling late last week against Buffalo. Pass after pass while the run game was great. After giving it some thought, I appreciate the decisions. Schotty was saying, "Here. We've got some wiggle room. You've been a good soldier for four years, here's your shot to prove that you're a capable quarterback." Clemens proved that he is not.

pass after pass??? Clemens attempted 2 passes and completed 1 for a key first down that led to a FG.

I would rather see KC get the start with a week of prep than send MS out there when he is not fully able to play and perhaps risk an injury that could sideline him down the stretch.

I would rather see Vinny Testeverde out there...on crutches.....taking the snaps....rather than put the game in Clemens' hands

Bullshit. Getting sacked is not a pass attempt. he threw 2 passes. 1 was completed to JCo for the 1st down. The other he threw away.

You have a passion for being wrong, Abdul.

Getting sacked is not a pass attempt, but it is a failed pass play. If you're seriously stating you saw too little out of Clemens against Buffalo, you were not watching the game.

He was playing behind the same line as Sanchez. He was sacked 3 times in 5 dropbacks, not counting the one(s) where he took off, ran and made it past the LOS. Sanchez was sacked 2 times in 17 dropbacks, not counting the ones where he took off, ran, and made it past the LOS. Clemens has no feel for the pocket and cannot escape pressure.

Vinnie is not on the roster. I'd rather see KC or EA play then see MS go out and tear up his knee in a potentially season ending and career threatening injury.

i'm sure if Sanchez is in ANY danger of further injuring his knee...he won't see the field.

Check the statistics and you will see that I am correct.

Maybe you would like to write to the NFL and express your disagreement with the way statistics are kept. Until they change the rules however Clemens attempted 2 passes and completed 1. Getting tackled before a pass is thrown is not a pass attempt.

Every team takes sacks taken into consideration when evaluating a QB. That is how you evaluate release and pocket presence.

Sanchez over Clemens even if Sanchez was a dead man. I'd still put him out there.

Im not saying that sacks shouldn't be taken into consideration. Consider them. KC's performance was disappointing after 1 good drive for the FG. My point is that he attempted 2 passes, which is an accurate statement. He didn't play well. Also an accurate statement.

He attempted FIVE passes. Three of which he was unable to get off because he could not feel the rush coming and escape it. The stats on NFL.com and ESPN.com do not tell the whole story and are not the same stats that front offices take into consideration.

WRONG AGAIN. He attempted TWO passes. See its very simple: If you don't throw the ball its not a pass. Running around in the backfield is not a pass. If you get tackled before you pass the ball, then you have not passed the ball.

If you don't like the rules of football and the way that statistics are kept you should address your concerns to the NFL Rules Committe or the Commissioner.

Like I said, I don't think you actually watched this game. If "1 for 2" is the only thing you saw out of Clemens, you just weren't looking.

You are reading way too literally into this. You are the only one who is looking at the game stats like this.
