Clausen confirms he'll go pro; so does Tate. Jimmy Clausen - QB - College PlayerMore team newsToday - 12:20 PM ET Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen will enter the 2010 NFL Draft. He'll be accompanied by Irish WR Golden Tate. With Charlie Weis gone and both players having good shots to be picked in round one, there was little chance either would return for their senior seasons. According to an ESPN source, several GMs believe Clausen is "the most NFL-ready quarterback in this year's draft," after playing in Weis' pro-style offense. Clausen doesn't have Jake Locker's arm or athleticism, but would be a terrific fit for a West Coast system because of his accuracy. St. Louis, Seattle, Washington, Denver, and Cleveland all fit the profile of teams that should have interest this April. Source: ESPN.com No suprise, 2 of my favorite players. Jimmy C...welcome to St Louis!!! Golden Tate is going to be a solid #2 WR in the NFL. I don't agree with the article that Tate will be drafted in Rd 1. Tate will be a solid Rd 2 prospect.
Golden Tate is going to benefit from Percy Harvin's success this season. Harvin's performance as a rookie could help Tate get drafted towards the end of round one. Jimmy Clausen definitely made the right choice. He'll likely be the #1 overall pick.
Not if Tampa has the 1st pick. And i can not imagine Cleveland dipping into the ND QB well again. No to Detroit. His best bet is St Louis or Washington.
Right now, it's between the Rams and the Bucs. Tampa would more than likely take Ndamukong Suh with the first pick, but I doubt they'll have it. St. Louis' remaining schedule is a lot tougher. I think Tampa can beat Seattle in two weeks.
