    I think it's pretty amazing that our D is doing so well WITHOUT Kris Jenkins.

    That is what I have been marveling at. They aren't lights-out good, to but the D has made a number of key stops with a lot of depth players stepping into the defensive trench. The corners have been holding their own without that monster middle push that Jenkins provides as well. And Rex has schemed the blitzes so well that the pressure still gets there.

    If we can find a young true NT that is even half as athletic as Jenks is when healthy, this defense will be lights out.

    I can't wait to see it after a couple of years of Rex building his own team and drafting/signing some defensive players.

    I think it would be a safe assumption to make that Rex and Pettine are not big fans of the "combine monsters." I don't know, just a hunch.
