His ego, its not like hes going out there and giving it all hes got. This guy doesnt play with heart. He should just become an actor like he wants to be.

thats kind of stretching it, i think.

  3. Great point.

A good spot for Kerry to be traded is possibly the Lions. Schwartz is all about building a defense w/ size, speed and athleticism;3 things Rhodes actually possesses. Pairing him w/ Delmas might make for some excitement.

I could see it on draft day for a like a second rounder straight up...or a 3 and a 5.

If Tanny could pull that off they'd name a day after him in NYC

That's how it looks to me. I hate twitter, but it has given us an interesting close-up on the players. In that 'Rodney Harrison' v Kerry Rhodes Twitter battle here, here is the beginning of the exchange:

Just ask Belichick! You know that has to be a direct reference to that one occasion a season or two ago when Belichick went up to Rhodes after the game and said he was the best safety he had faced that season. That moment could possibly be what started the decline for Rhodes. He got full of himself because the great Belichode told him he was good. Fuck this guy.

the funny thing about that is, that was not even Rodney Harrison's twitter account. It said "not the real rodney harrison" on his page, and Rhodes still had to defend his name.

But I agree 100% on the Belichick thing

I bet Belichick knew what he was doing.

"I will sew the seeds of contentment in young Rhodes today, twah. Two years from now, he will be an weak shell of his former self, twah."

And on that same day, I will become an astronaut.

What do these 2 events have in common? They will never happen. Nobody is giving up a 2nd for Kerry Rhodes. It's not like the other 31 GM's in the league don't watch film and can't see that this guy is a prima donna, more interested in twatting and selling cheap suits next to the horse-race pages in the back of the Daily News.

We gave up a 3rd and 5th for Jenkins, right? You're telling me that Kerry Rhodes status commands the same for his position?

Especially when the 2010 draft is deep with Safety talent. The Jets will get peanuts for Rhodes...maybe a 4th rounder.

I bet the Jets draft Tim Tebow in the middle rounds as a safety. That would be classic Jets.

It seems like eons ago when we as Jets fans were up in arms that John Lynch, already dead and rotting 6 feet under, was selected before Kerry Rhodes for pro-bowl consideration. 2006 perhaps?

Laughable to consider that we defended this assclown just a few years ago.

In our defense, at that point he was worth defending. I remember hearing about the film studies that he organized with all the DBs. Now he can't even find the time to meet with his coach to improve his game. I've never seen a player fall off as much as Rhodes has, he has basically given up on his career.

What I was trying to impress was just how far he has fallen. I remember a Newsday article from around that time highlighting how he and Vilma devoted all of their time to film.

No Twitter, no "shorties," no clubs, no drama. Eat, sleep and shit football during the season, and look what it did for him.

I hate what this part of it indicates. Rex needs to assert control of this team or he will end up being another in a long line of failed players' coaches.

Not that it would ever happen but I would take a chance on Tebow in the late rounds as a safety, assuming he was committed to becoming a safety. Eric Crouch and Scott Frost can't hold Tebows jock in the athlete dept.

Do think Jax drafts him in the first round to be their future QB/ticket salesman though.
