Sanchez never broke his kneecap. He dislocated it during practice on a rollout...

The guy put a brace on his knee and destroyed the Virginia Cavalier's defense the next week.

He hurt his knee. Beyond educated or uneducated guesses, only an MRI will reveal the answer. Might as well /thread until someone posts the breaking story.

Okay a dislocated kneecap...Still doesn't bode well that back to back weeks he's hurt his knees, and one knee he has previously injured.

I can't help but think elder Jets fans having shades of Namath.

He said the doctors are pretty sure its a sprained knee. MRI is just precautionary.

Add that Sanchez has virtually no limp while walking to the locker...

Namath's knees were shredded before he ever threw a pass in the NFL. Knees are overrated.

I'm officially nervous. One quarter of Kellen Clemens was more than enough for me.

2 positives, we have a long week before our next game. Second, We play TB next week, who if we cant beat without a QB, we aint making the playoffs anyway.

To answer your question about the limp on the torn ligament, not always. I was able to walk just fine in a straight line when I tore mine, but it was any side to side type movement that was impossible.

i'm nervous about sanchez. I agree the drawer test looked like it had a lot of laxity in it (not a good sign). He keeps repeating "it doesn't feel right" when talking about his knee now.

Limped in and out of the interview. Optimistic to play next week but not sure. Knee didn't feel right. Doesn't think it's a serious injury but MRI will confirm

okay. So the optimist in me says it hurts like hell now but its going to be okay by next thursday.

the pessimist says sprained MCL and he's out until the Bengals game.

i'm down in DC right now, 10th beer for the nightcap. Got a jets chant started with a bunch of Washington Caps fans. They were feeling the vibe and lovin it -- lots of Jets love from them. Took my friends Bills hat and stomped on it and that got em going.

The anterior drawer test performed on the sideline was positive. The knee was quite unstable when the lower leg was drawn forward, indicating an injury to the ACL. Best case, its a sprain, but its more likely to be torn, either partially or completely.

    MRI will confirm.
