You have to throw Tennessee's Dan Williams into that argument. In my rankings, Dan Williams has passed Big Boo. DW controls the line of scrimmage.

What's awesome is this: all three can get the job done.

We have to get one of those 3...no question!!!

If we don't, I'll be pissed.

Great draft. I really hope someone from the Jets PR sees this and relays it to Tannrnbaum. Having lots of picks who don't cost a lot of money = fans don't care if a few of them bust. Only thing I would change is getting whoever falls between Dexter McCluster, Noel Devine, and Trindon Holliday in the 5th round. If Jones is gone next year, I don't like the fact that we only have a hurt Leon Washington behind him.

Did you forget about Shonn Greene?

If I had to rank spell backs/third down backs/change of pace backs (whatever you want to call them), here's what my list would look like:

    1. Clemson's CJ Spiller
    2. Cal's Jahvid Best
    3. WVU's Noel Devine
    4. Ole Miss' Dexter McCluster
    5. Arkansas' Mike Smith

Last April when Greene was selected, I thought TJ was a goner.

Thomas Jones is like fine wine, get's better with age. Jones is one of the best conditioned football players I've ever seen.

I think we will restructure TJ's contract and he will be a Jet for a couple of more years.

Yea, I figured...and I spelled it right. It's not a big deal, but you shouldn't have to question how to spell an important player's name...especially when it was in the post you quoted. (...I'm not trying to bash you, it just bothers me)

I like it as a whole but if we're moving Rhodes (which I like), the Jets should go Safety earlier. I'd take Nate Allen, Reshad Jones, or Chad Jones in the 2nd.

I'd be pretty thrilled with this, it restocks a bunch of positions.

    Don't agree with taking a P

Don't agree with us getting so little for Rhodes

Don't think Shipley falls so much

I'd like a RT prospect. Personally I'd take a RT in rd 3 or 4 and get the slot reciever we need later on in the draft... reliable slot WRs always fall down draft boards.

A bit upset ther is no TE mentioned but then again every year there is some good TE in free agency...

Good job as always WW85 :) and thanks for the effort

Don't underestimate Stuckey...he's right up there with the 3 you mentioned.

While I would love that draft if it happened projecting trades is pretty much impossible

That projected trade actually gets us a lot of value for Kerry Rhodes. You don't see too many first rounders traded for players in this league...especially players that would rather be walking down a runway.

Well yeah, no way is Rhodes worth a 1st rd pick... but I'd only give him away for a 2nd and something... anyways it's waaaaaay to early to talk about this. Come the end of the season he may be worth a 1st or he may be worth nothing for all we know...

We will never, ever get a first for this bum.

You don't get a first or even a second for an up and down player like Kerry Rhodes.

Look at some of the past NFL trades:

Randy Moss was acquired for a 4th rounder.

Braylon Edwards was acquired for a 3rd and a 5th.

Tony Gonzalez was acquired for a 2nd rounder.

Kris Jenkins was acquired for a 3rd and a 5th.

(each of these players offer so much more value to a team than a Kerry Rhodes does)

Dead on. Add to that the fact that we got jones, A workhorse RB in his prime, for 3rd round value.

Good plyers don't get a lot of value in picks, let alone a so-so guy like Rhodes.

I'm on the fence about trading Rhodes. I'm not sold on Lito starting opposite Revis and Lowery is best suited as a nickelback and the idea of having to replace half the secondary in addition to the team's other needs isn't ideal.

You've been around a while, I usually don't predict trades.

I went that route to show some the possibilities if Tanny trades Rhodes and trades back in rd 1. Since there's been alot of trade talks.

I don't take Mocks all that seriously, including mine. I do put some thought and effort into my mocks. They are fun to read.

Dwight Lowery is getting better. It's a shame he hurt his ankle, because he really took over at the second CB spot when Sheppard went inactive. It wouldn't be very hard to upgrade our cornerback situation.

Kerry Rhodes has been the weakest player on the defense. He had a very good game against Carolina, but that means nothing to me.

If Tannenbaum can ship him out and pick up a couple draft picks, it'd be a win for this team.
