Baltimore did win but the idea that Defenses win championships is one of the most repeated overstated comments in football.

Smart ball control offenses with competent defenses win championships. QBs that can hit the 3rd and 8 play actions consistently win championships. Go all the way back to the Packers with Bart Starr through SF with Montana and Young to NE with Brady. Are their exceptions, certainly.

I'm confident Ryan will take care of the defensive side of the ball. Key to winning football for us for the next several years is how Sanchez develops. Let him play this year. Let him make mistakes. There isn't much at stake the rest of this year - like it or not.

    thats the most important thing.

Now that Cutesy can't get gay with the trick plays, Sanchez can develop properly.

I hope this last the rest of the season, it was pretty obvious out there that Rex had reigned in BS, even with the 1 int I did not feel this game was getting out of hand.

Maybe I missed it but did we even run one Seminole play?

I also like the fact that SG was put back in the game even though he fumbled, way to show confidence and build him up.

I did not see a screen though, hopefully we can include one or two next week.

the drive which resulted in the keller fumble in the endzone was tremendous. its really a shame we have less than nothing to show for it.

This is JUST what Sanchez needed. Big Ben rode those numbers to his first SB as well...

Note, I'm not trying to imply we're going to the SB this year...

Absolutely. Games like this were what I was expecting before the season began.

Sanchez didn't lose the game and we actually won. Two positive things in one game, wow pinch me.. At lease Rex doesn't have any thing to cry about this week.

We didn't run one play that wasn't traditional lineup-and-punch-you offense.

it was refreshing to see real football played. Not trickery bullshit. It was the best called game all year.

When I saw that the first thing I thought was " Whoa, Rex is finally messing with Schotty's O"

Any game that features no Brian Cutesy is a fantastic game for me. I'm simply too fed up with his perfect plan that just NEVER works.

I was pleased with 35 rush attempts, no doubt.

Rex Ryan is the best offensive mind in the NFL.

Would have looked better if not for Keller's fumble.

yeah, the game would have been out of reach and over a lot sooner. There are a lot of discipline problems on this team.

I don't know if I can really rail Keller for that, because he was fighting for the extra yards to get the TD.

Still, in a position like that, ball protection should be imperative, and this is what he should have been focusing on.

Should have been at least 20 actually with Greene coughing it up at the Panthers 20 yard line. These turnovers are maddening.

2 fumbles in enemy territory hurt us too-

That's like taking 10 points off the board.

I'm sick of Braylon not defending the ball when he gets thrown to, if he just reached his arm out a little that INT is knocked down.

question: who was the OC on the ravens team that won the SB?

Answer: it doesn't matter. the ravens were 'just' a ball control offense that 'anyone can run'.

in the world of the nfl, coaches like to be called 'brilliant', and you don't get that by running a ball control offense that 'anyone can run'. this ain't lost on shotty.

As long as Thomas Jones gets the football the Jets are going to be okay. TJ is the best weapon on the Jets. Guy is great and doesn't get enough respect.
