Looks dominating against FSU today. Hes huge in size but in a good way unlike the stiff ghoston. He looks to strong to block one on one and has good penetration and pass rush moves as well. Would he play De for us or OLB? Wouldnt he be too slow for OLB? though

Carlos Dunlap is my #1 overall prospect in 2010's draft...even over the highly coveted Eric Berry. You just don't come across 6'6 290 pound defensive ends that can run 4.6 40s too often.

Dunlap would most definitely play defensive end for the Jets, but what's scary is this: Dunlap's combine 40 will probably be pretty close to Vernon Gholston's. Which means he's definitely not too slow to play 3-4 OLB.

CD could be the next Mario Williams.

So mr e, you think he would play De for us? Would he be effective there? Cause thats one of our biggest needs. I thought he would play OLB

Yes, he would play defensive end in our scheme. He has the athleticism and versatility to line up at OLB in certain situations though.

If you've watched the past couple Florida games, you'd noticed that the Gators are running a 3-3-5. Dunlap has been dominant so far in today's FSU game on a three man line.

I really believe he can be successful in any pro defensive scheme. The guy's got so much talent. If he gets proper motivation and great coaching, he has the ability to be an all-pro.

Yeah I see what you mean. My thing is thats the thing though, we already went 0-1 on that idea with gholston in terms of proper motivation and it failed bad. Do you think they will try it again? I am not sure at all. Maybe cody is the best best.

I think Rex could motivate him.

On the other hand, I also expected good things out of Gholston this season with Rex at the helm, and I was wrong.

i think its more about Football IQ than motivation with Gholston. He and Cody may have inconsistent motors, but I think Cody understands his craft a lot more now than Gholston ever will.

    At least I hope so.

Dunlap or Cody would look excellent in Green/White......fuck, is it April yet?

I wish I could put together a TGG only NFL draft party in my basement.....food, beer, drafting....we could all rejoice as we watch our Dline being rebuilt before our eyes...in HD surround

Haden looked really good against FSU today as well. If we could get Dunlap and Haden that would be unreal.

Yeah Haden was sharp. He looks like revis in terms of being a complete corner, he tackles well and is great in coverage. I would NOT be shocked if we take Haden. Rex has been known to love getting as many good corners as possible. But I think we will have too many holes. D-line, OLB, maybe Safety. being the big ones.

I know people dont want to trade up since Tanny has done so much in the past, but Berry is worth it. Im sorry if we can trade our first, Rhodes and a 5th for Berry and a 6th id do it.

Dunlap and Haden both blew me away yesterday. I was watching the Miami game mostly yesterday, but I switched over to UF for a bit with the sole purpose of watching Dunlap. First play I saw, Dunlap runs a stunt, bulls the OG, and sacks Manuel. I think I have him 1A at DE now with Everson Griffen as 1B.

As for Haden, he reminds me a lot of Revis with his speed and tackling ability. He's a starter the minute he gets to the league, without question.

Haden had a sick game, I've only seen one of his though. When I first saw Dunlap I thought he looked skinny, but very long in the arms. I didn't realise he's actually 6"6', and apparently quite heavy. To be honest, I think we could get a first rounder for KRhodes and I would take that, just to give us more ammunition in a draft where we could easily find a new safety.

There is no way the Jets will get a 1st Rounder for KR, at best a 3rd.

    I'd take a 3rd for Rhodes in a sec.

We'd have to go Safety early then. Mays ftw.

Taylor Mays is all hype at this point. He's been called a linebacker that can run like a corner. Hello, Oakland Raiders!

The kid is extremely talented, but he plays a lot like Kerry Rhodes. He rarely makes BIG plays and he never really hits anyone as hard as he could.

Eric Berry owns Taylor Mays. Hell, DeAndre McDaniel has moved ahead of him in my safety rankings.

There will be some good safeties available:

DeAndre McDaniel, Reshad Jones, Myron Lewis, Darrell Stuckey and Earl Thomas.

I wonder how Rhodes contract is structured and if he'd be able to be cut without killing our salary cap.

Made the same switch a couple of days ago. McDaniel might have some character questions, but he's a stud on the football field. I think he'd be a perfect fit next to the steady Leonhard.
