AFC Champion, was he not? Never seen Ace Ventura? They get a ring for that.
You can't hold the SB against him, since he went against Chucky.

Honestly I'd just like for Rex to be able to assign his own coaching staff.

When I play Madden on my DS I can get 8-12 yds a carry by just doing a HB Toss to Jones every time. I had over 400 yds rushing playing with minute quarters. I wonder if I could get that OC job?

Some Jets fans are seriously promoting Paul Hackett as the new offensive coordinator, to replace a guy who's put together the best rushing attack in the AFC for 2 years. I've entered bizzaro world, right? What's next, replace Ryan with Herm?

I"m certainly NOT on the Hackett bandwagon.....I don't want that "vanilla pudding coordinator" anywhere near this offense.

    The Mismanagement of Mark Sanchez

Mark Sanchez is a talented young kid with the potential to be a very good QB one day...if he does not get destroyed first.

    1. Shotenheimer is rotten OC and even a worse developer of QB talent.

BS is the classic square peg round hole kinda coach. He wants to run it his way regardless of this talent. Not only is Sanchez a rookie. He is younger and less experienced than most rookies, epecially QB's and especially drafted as high as he was. Shotty offers this kid no protection. He has completely thrown him to the wolves.

    a. why does he have him throwing on first down deep in his own territory? This kid needs the run. On a first series, it is ok for us to run three times and then punt if we don't move the chains. We have the best special teams coach and the best defensive coordinator in the business. Play field position.

    b. Where are the dinks and dunks? Let the kid get warmed up. If we can run for our first down, let him throw some dink and dunks.

    c. Where the hell are the designed screens? I don't think I have seen one. Before we got Braylon and defenses were over pursuing and stacking the box, there was not one designed screen. We need to trade away picks and talent to get Braylon, but we can't one f#(king designed screen?

    d. Where are the quick slants? We have 250 pd TE that can catch the ball over the middle. We have braylon, a big strong keyshawn sized receiver. Send there asses over the middle on quick slants. These quick timing pattens are a young rookies best friend. The kid needs to be throwing high % stuff.

    e. When we get past our 50, let the kid throw deep. If he throws deep here and he gets picked it is less offensive bc it will likely end up deep in opposing territory.

    2. Where is Rex Ryan in all of this?

Rex needs to take some blame here. If he wants to be a head coach he needs be proficient in all phases of the game and it should his finger print. He came here and talked about a Raven's style ground/pound offense. Not even close. Flacco was well managed last year bc the OC had an ounce of sense unlike BS. Rex let this go on. I know that he said he will have grater input into the offense now. I hope it works.

Bottom line is that Schotty is just plain bad. Hopefully Rex will have some influence. But Brian has got to go. He is an hardly an OC candidate let alone a HC candidate. God please let the Bill pick him as a HC.

    Thank you.

He makes a lot of points that have been made in the other 40 threads about Mark Sanchez and Brian Schottenheimer. There's no reason to pollute the board with this repetitive garbage.

Do you guys want to trade for Alex Smith? He was a No. 1 pick overall so he's rarer. :)

The board also has "rules" therefore keeping anarchy and outright chaos from setting in. As such, the members of the board who think of it as a second virtual home have certain expectations. That is largely in part why this board is as good as it is. The forum isn't every members personal vent space. On game day losses they generally let it burn itself out and have folks vent; otherwise, kick your dog, take a walk, or count to ten, but don't use this space for that shit.

Lets not feel bad for Sanchez now claiming that he is abused or mismanaged in some way. Plain and simple he is a rookie and going threw rookie growing pains. I think it is for the better that he is seeing action because he will never forget it for his career. Also he is getting valuable knowledge that you will not learn on the bench just watching. The coaches call the play and its up to the QB to execute them and if the first option is not open you have to go through progression and hit your next receiver instead of just chucking the ball up. We all could do that!!!
