At this point, the whole damn organization is a marketing ploy. Shanny would be nice, but his DC would concern me. Cowher is my first choice, but I see him in Carolina. I'd take Fox in that case. Who knows, maybe Fewell can pull a Singletary this year?
LOL.....I just heard an interview with Martz a few days ago. Martz said how happy he was to be out of the pressure and the long hours of the NFL. He also said that he loves sitting in his house in California, looking out at the ocean. Martz is also in the wine business...and has been selling his bottles of wine. Wonder what the truth really is....
Well said. A lot of people firmly believe the only job Cowher will take is Carolina. But John Fox is a pretty damn good head coach. That team was LOST when he got there. While I don't think you should have ANY complaints about getting Shanahan, you sure as shit don't want Mike Martz.
What makes you say this? The team has been to the Superbowl and twice to the NFC title game with John Fox at helm. Carolina is a very talented team, but Fox's ineptitude to see that Delhomme ain't a starter in this league anymore and horrible coaching philosophy not to run the ball with two excellent backs are the reason this team has not won a Superbowl, despite the talent in the roster. Fox's love affair with Delhomme will be the reason he is ran out of town after this season.
I think you pretty much answered your own question there mac. And before they were such a "talented team" they were a 1-15 disaster with no QB and a shell of a defense.
Yes and despite the talent they've yet to win a Superbowl, mostly due to Fox's own brainfarts. He is far from a "damn good head coach".
Yeah, because the 505 yard season pace that Marshawn Lynch is on right now is the cornerstone of our offense. How did Jauron ever last this long in the league?
You could have said the same if not worse about Bellicheat with Cleveland. I think the change of pace would be a great fit for Buffalo and Fox. More importantly though, the BILLS need a great GM.
The Bills are a good coach away from the playoffs, they drat well every year because they draft quantity and they end up finding a lot of hard working players, they consistently have a good defense, what kills them are injuries, I have never seen a team lose so many players to injuries. If they end up with MS they will move up in the pecking order as far as playoff teams are concerned, and the Jets will move down. For the sake of having the AFC east a little less competitive I don't want to see the Bills get MS, if they get MM then I will be okay with it.
Soft, cushy TC's and practices will tend to do that to a team. At least Fewell has them practicing in the rain this week. He, at the very least, brings a fire to this team that the walking dead never did. I also think you guys have been too hard on the JETS this year. You are going to have your growing pains with a first year HC/QB. Just because it happened twice last year doesn't mean it is now the norm. You guys are going to be good for years to come, but it will take a few more solid draft picks.
he only thing better then Martz in Buffalo would be Martz in Miami or NE. Since those are competent organizations that will never happen so Martz to Buffalo is the next best thing.
