..if he were coaching Sanchez......i say NO ! I dont believe Bellichick would sacrifice the improvement of 1 player over the success of the team for that year He took a kid that NEVER played 1 game of football since HIGH SCHOOL....and made sure he continued to IMPROVE week by week....what he did with Cassel was amazing IMO I do like RYAN and his attitude,,, but being smart is a different story
You portray it as if Mark Sanchez is the sole reason we're losing football games. Frankly...I don't see that as the case at all. Granted he has thrown a number of interceptions, but the bottom line is, I have never lost confidence that he can move the team down the field and put points on the board. He's kept us in virtually every game we've been in, and has made some great plays. All 3 facets of this team have cost us games. And now we're at a point where the playoffs are becomming out of reach, there's no reason not to leave Sanchez in and let him take his lumps.
First off...Cassell wasn't a rookie, he had 3 years in the system before he played. Second...Cassell was also helped by a defensive unit loaded with Superbowl seasoned veterans who had been playing together for years. Third...Cassell was never asked to make all of the throws Sanchez is. Cassell was a product of the Pats offensive system...he had guys like MOss and Welker...we dont have anywhere near that amount of WR talent. The Jets offensive system isnt even close. I see where you were trying to go but the comparison isnt a good one.
On top of it all Billy Boy has had QB gold his entire head coaching career. When he got to the Browns he had Kosar (sp?) who eventually gave way to Vinny. When he got to NE he inherited Bledsoe who got hurt giving way to one of the best QB's in history who just happened to be 6 round draft pick. He's never had to make that type of decision. Finally...I hate him.
exactly... who cares. our situations is complete different. It is all about one player and the jets future..
parcels would never play a rookie nor draft him. lol that lunatic does not have patience. the only time he did was with bledsoe, he wants a veteran who wont turn the ball over and make sure the rest of the team is solid.
parcells wouldn't draft Sanchez because he's not a Senior with over 25 starts in college. he would also not start Sanchez in his rookie season. See Chad Henne as an example.
