Speaking of Brett, isn't it right around the time he's supposed to begin falling apart and cause a Minny collapse, like many on here predicted?

He will at some point, he gets worse as the games get bigger.

Unlike the guy he replaced who always got better in big games.

"Yeah but that guy never had a good team around him (well, he did, but then those teams always seemed to have abandoned him in the big games)."

note: that statement is in quotations.

Here's some more food for thought.. Since Woody Johnson bought the New York Jets, this team has never hired a NFL Head Coach. Time and again, hired only coordinators. One has to wonder what could have been..

He won't fall apart - unless his bicep gets hurt adn they insist on playing him like we did.

He never had the talent around him that Favre had last year. When played at least 3/4 of games we made the playoffs every time. How did that work out last year w/ the great Brett playing 16 games?

He tried to hire Parcells back but it didn't work.

That was an excuse, he was fine. he was making typical favre decisions late in the year and that is what cost us more than anything else. So far he's been great this year but the bottom will fall out like it did on GB 2 years ago(and every playoff year in GB since they were upset by Denver) and w/ us last year.

I'm just not so sure about it being an excuse - I mean surely knowing Favre's track record it's a possibility, but I mean, you don't normally get a doctor to stand up and give an opinion on your arm unless it's true, unless you want to lose your credibility, or worse, your license.

Man, and here I thought the Favre vs. Pennington threads would stop when neither of them was on the team. Thilly me.

I think she's/he's quite formidable, maybe our next backup NT.

Yes he was faking the injury and he even faked the surgery. He played like shit but his injury surely played a part. He should have taken himself out and mangini should have benched him too.

The bottom really fell out 2 years ago in the NFC championship game in overtime. It's too bad old Brett ruined it for them. I mean that Giants team had a horrible defense that most any QB would have raped in overtime of the NFC Championship. It's obvious that Aaron Rogers has done much more for that team.

You just have to go there when Junc shits on Favre. He defends a guy who hasn't accomplished anything remotely close to Favre to the death and shits on Favre for "playing worse as the games get bigger". It's ridiculous.

Hahaha, you should see him argue that Vinny was better than Namath.

Don't forget that the fines issued to the Jets organization and Mangini several months back were fake too! That injury was just as fake as the Moon landing.

I love it. When Pennington loses to top Defenses in the first and second rounds, it's because they were top Defenses. When Favre loses to top Defenses in a Conference Championship, it's because of his costly mistakes.
