Rex Ryan at his Wednesday press conference addressed the media with a box of tissues on podium in front of him and read from a prepared statement, that read NE Patriots are real good. The growing pains are obvious and Rex has made some rookie HC mistakes but something tells me he gets it. A big part of being a successful coach in New York is being liked by the media. When you address the media it helps to own the room. Rex definitely gets this and I think it will help keep the heat off him while he navigates all the bumps in the road of a 1st year head coach. Today is the first day since Sunday that Mark Sanchez adresses the media and I believe poking fun at the prepared statement before Mark gets grilled on it was a very smart move too.
MB- Its putting out there something I found interesting and kind of shows what type of guy Rex Ryan is. I'm a big boy and can take criticism when warranted. Could you please tell me what percentage of posts on here you believe really address something of major importance. I'm sorry if this post is not stimulating your mind but atleast it factual and not contrived and ridiculous like about 50% of posts on here. Its ok sometimes to post something light and honestly I think the Subject of Rex Ryan and how he handles probably the toughest week of his first year is important.
the problem with your threads that you seem to have trouble grasping is none of them need their own thread. they are just random thoughts you happen to have that you could fit into another thread but instead you decide that your thought is important enough for its own thread.
of the 4 posts above and below mine are titled is Mark Sanchez a whack job? Nugent is a dipshit. Its my posts you guys choos to bash. Writing about Rex Ryans press conference is not an old post, it just happened.
its because you have been doing this non stop for 2 weeks. everyone makes a shitty thread every now and then, but you still haven't gotten it.
"dogs and cats make good pets" is a factual statement....should I create a thread about it? The stuff you post is a lot of "matter of fact" type stuff, Todd.......I think posters look for a little more insight when reading new threads. Now, I'm guilty of posting shitty threads in the past too.....everyone has at one point.....but you do it on a consistent basis. just a little food for thought.
Are you for real. The 1st question the media was gonna hit him with was about the crying . The second was going to be who or if anyone helped Mark Sanchez write his notes for sunday post game press conference. He turned it on the media, made a joke of both situations and as a head coach should do put the topic of discussion back on football.
MBGreen I respect any criticism you throw my way because you atleast attempt or do back up your point. Your going to tell me that 85% of the threads on the first page are more insightful then what I just wrote? They consist of many individuals opinions many that really show that the individual who wrote them has know knowledge of the NYJ or football in general. I think its fine to put a big of info out there that I think has very much to do with the state of our coach and team.
Which is on every single thread you have created the past 9 years (since u were 6, big boy) It is ridiculous. All your posts are part of the 50% you mentioned. I still didn't get the two birds part.
I just wanted to note that Todd finally spelled all of his words correctly in this thread title. Can't say that for his other thread today, since he couldnt figure out how to spell opportunity. Todd, Maybe if you actually proof read your writing, you might actually decide not to post it. One can only hope.
