Yes, we will find another opportunity to find a new way to lose. I'm thinking we're going to be in the same situation as Indy was last week and Belichick makes the same call and wins the game.
Not to state the obvious; the Jets need to just start winning games and putting together a streak. Easier said than done. This Sunday will be very tough as they always are. I have myself braced for heartbreak; once at 4-6 it will be time to acknowledge that the playoffs are very doubtful. I am not giving up hope yet, but the Jets have not done well over the last 6 weeks and I have not seen a whole lot to convince me that the team is ready to make a non-relenting charge.
At this point I don't care as much about our season as the potential for GPC. By winning this week we beat the Pats two times in a row, some statistic that they have not suffered in a long time. I believe we win this game we effectively ruin the Pats season. I dislike the Patriots more than any other team in the NFL, I dislike that they get special treatment and advertising in everything concerning the NFL. I think the Pats will probably beat the shit out of us next week, but by a miracle maybe the GPC could finally unfold. :gpc:
I am usually an optimist but I really don't see us beating the Pats this weekend. When we played them last time, Brady was still really shook up from his injury and he had a lot of rust on him you could tell. All of that rust is gone now. He's basically back to the old Brady, and we don't do well against that team. Sadly, I think after this weekend we're going to be at 4-6. I have to face reality: We have lost 4 of our last 5 games. The only win coming from the lowly Raiders. The team isn't an elite team this year. I'm not saying it's all doom and gloom though. One positive thing I'm taking away from this year is that it's a learning process for Mark Sanchez and coach Ryan. I mean, Sanchez is only 23 years old. For a rookie, he's played just about as well as we could hope for. I still have a little optimism left that we can beat NE next Sunday and keep our playoff hopes alive, but if we don't then I'm going to just hope that Sanchez continues to learn from his mistakes and Rex gets better at his job too, so that next year we can be an even more complete team.
Expecting us to lose badly. I just want sanchez to continue to learn. Patriots are going to be a pissed off team at home after the loss they suffered on sunday.
I think we can beat NE and I think our victory gives Miami a clear path to the division since I like their chances against NE in Miami.
if anyone has been paying any attention at all, the new england team we beat in week 2 is not the team we are going to be playing this week. we barely beat them when brady was at his worst! this week could be ugly. i just hope ryan keeps it together and doesn't start the whining routine again. hopefully, they suck it up, learn from it and continue trying to improve each week. everyone should realize belichick, brady and the patriots have had this game circled on the calender and are salivating at the thought of destroying us. jets did a lot of talking that week, for the pats, it's payback. i'm bracing myself and expecting the worst, they are going to want blood!!!
I can't predict waht will happen. I do think this will be a mega-smashmouth blood bath between two teams that hate each other.
Were not the same team we were in week 2 either. We should be able to go score for score with NE. We have a healthy Cotch, Edwards is a physical beast and Keller will do some damage. NE D is not so healthy. Revis can handle Moss the rest of their O probably kills us. We should be able to put up 30 or more if Shotty doesn't pussey out and try and run the ball down their throats and throws down field on first down often and early.
this being a rough division rivalry I have a hard time believing this would be a blow out either way, they almost never are, and this weekend will be no different. And when the games are close, EITHER team has a chance of winning. If we keep it reachable, I like our chances
if sanchez doesn't throw picks and everything goes our way, we keep it a close game and lose. if sanchez plays like a rookie (which he obviously is) it could be ugly. with rex whining and starting his melt down, kerry rhodes playing like a bonehead, the defense falling asleep at the worst of times, i'm not getting my hopes up!!!!!
What is with all you walking vaginas? In the last 3 times we've played the Pats we beat them twice. The and the one we lost was close until the end. The Pats are always "out for blood" especially with a division rival. Stop with this fucking inferiority complex bullshit. "They're going to kill us..."..."they're gonna try to score 60!!" They always try and score 60. Strap on a pair..."YOU CAN ACT LIKE MAN!!"
REX? REX, IS THAT YOU, REX? with all this tough talk before the game, i'm thinking it's the one and only REX. especially since you put your strap on back on. now you sound like that tough guy wannabe, instead of the vagina from monday! the secrets out, rex doesn't have a real set.... thanks to hoi, or is it rex?
This team clearly has potential, it just needs to learn how to win the close games. Our losses: MIA, BUF, JAC losses at the end. Held in close against a 9-0 team, and dominance in 2/3 fazes-hiccup in 1, in the other MIA loss. We could easily be looking at 7-2. NE is clearly favoured but only a fool would think the Jets don't have a shot. Hopefully this is close going into the last 5-10 minutes because NYJ (specifically Sanchez/Ryan) clearly need the close game experience going forward. I genuinly believe that, if we manage to pull off a victory on Sunday, we could get on a roll and string some wins together to make it interesting. A win would be such confidence booster and give us life again! I by no means expect, or even think they will win, but I'm essentially saying I think we have about a 1 in 3 shot at winning, and that if we do, it could give us the momentum to get something going.
Not only do I see the Pats beating us, we could get our asses handed to us if we don't play really well. They are coming off a frustrating loss and are looking for someone to take it out on. Who better than a division rival with a big mouth? We beat them last time when they really weren't running on all cylinders. Plus we aren't playing well at all. If the Jets don't play very well, not only will they lose, it'll be an embarrassing loss because they have no reason to avoid running up the score. The Jets have a chance to win, don't get me wrong. But it isn't great. And my opinion doesn't affect the outcome, so no darksider shit, please. I'm just being realistic. I'll still be yelling and throwing shit at the TV, pulling for the Jets either way.
