    Is it possible...

That this is the SOJ dying?? It always seems theres a late collapse...what if it seems as if the collapse is early but really its the SOJ dying at the jets now go on a massive run. I mean it does always seem they will do what we don't expect so maybe this is it..

    this...is desperation

    EDIT: OP 11/15

Man, it's really amusing to watch you go through these phases of depression and denial.

What the hell are you talking about?
If by amusing you mean aggravating and a complete waste of everyone's attention, then yeah.

I really don't care about the "same old Jets" moniker, doesn't mean anything to me. I'll go into every season with the same expectations, I'll be upset if (when) they don't come through but whatever, that's part of being a fan.

At least we have an owner who actually cares about putting a winning product on the field and isn't afraid to spend to improve the team. At least we don't have a roster full of fucking morons who are always getting arrested or suspended and bringing shame to the team name.

well that would have been possible.. till you brought it up.. by making a thread about it.. it now becomes an expectation..and since the jets blow at living up to expectations.. there goes all hopes of going on a run.. hope ur happy with urself...

  9. I'm w/ ya Turk...

I only have one piece of Optimism left as well. Although this was a random week 9 loss against an average team in a less than meaningful season..for me this is absolute rock bottom. This is the pandemonium of misery when it comes to rooting for this franchise.

I have never had less hope. After the typical CHOKE JOB that the team provided us last season, w/ a fiery new head coach and a talented rookie QB that this season would be a season to sit back...embrace change and look toward the future. But they managed to suck me in w/ early success... and very close games, only to underachieve and have multiple heart-wrenching losses. This is an extremely talented roster, w/ a defensive genius as coach...and all they do is underachieve and choke in the clutch. If we can't win w/ this amount of talent....and this much "new blood" what happens when all the talent gets old and leaves?

Again this is absolute rock bottom. It leaves w/ only one last drop of optimism: It can't get any worse, right?

It could be worse. You could be a giant vagina.

    Err.

    I guess you were right.

    It can't be worse.

SOJ is dead and has been dead.

The old timers and dark siders need to catch on now.

This team as our buddy Mike Fatty has mentioned has had 10 winning seasons in the past 13 years.

Rex has installed a new team attitude and the only reason this term still exists is the fans.

The Bengals haven't won a playoff game since 1990, how'd you like that?

i don't know if thats true...the fact that the jets have had 10 winning seasons in the past 13 and no real major anything to show for it outside of '98 is proof...

SOJ isn't just a wins and losses thing

Yeah but why be negative all the time, and I'm not saying you.

It just makes no sense to me to hate on your own team, stand behind. If not stand in front of them and let them run you over.

I would never boo at a home game, for the simple fact that I appreciate the talent and the hard work it takes to be out there. Win or lose.

i don't know if its being negative all the time or just being reallly cautiously optimistic...historically this team will let you down in the wierdest way so its more a protectionist thing

it's not that people who are always negative want the team to lose..of course they want the team to win but a) they've been trained that way and b) if they expect nothing everything is a plus

Weren't you the same guy that whined about SOJ not too long ago and told the Jets and its fans to go F-themselves? Man, you're a bipolar on a rollercoaster if I ever saw one.
