How predictable that the dropped catch on the two-point conversion was going to come back to haunt us Oh yeah, that fumble was really great as well Braylon...
The Jags would have scored a TD on the last drive regardless, our defense was out there laying a fucking egg with the game on the line AGAIN
braylon was hustling for extra yards on that pass that caused the fumble and on the 2 point conversion he dropped it after a really hard hit by a pretty good safety. lay off braylon. he wasn't the reason why we lost today. dude's got skills and he's a fucking gamer.
How did it come back to haunt us? The D let up a TD that their O declined to kill a little more time.
Actually, the game would have gone to OT and the Jets would have lost. I have very little doubt about that.
For a #1 WR...can he give us a break and come through in a big moment? Everytime hes thrown too, i hold my breath
that dropped 2point conversion was tough, the safety hit the ball with his helmet i think, its hard to get on him for that, and the fumble you could get on him for...
Like that big 3rd and 9 conversion on the last drive of the game where Mathis had great coverage and he jumped way up, grabbed the ball, came down with it, and held on? The drive where we scored to put us ahead with less than 4 minutes to go? This loss is on the defense.
i'm as pissed off about this loss as anybody but... it really really fuckin annoys me when i see people on this board irrationally pointing fingers at players who clearly are not to blame. i've loved the braylon acquisition...he hasnt dropped hardly any balls, and he's made some UNREAL catches in the brief time here. lay the fuck off him blame the d....you have a team on a 3 and 9 situation and then give up two + 15 yard plays with the game on the line.
Agree we haven't had an athletic WR like this on our team since Al Toon. Granted he isn't nearly as focussed as Toon but I can see him, Sanchez and Cotch being as good a group as any in the NFL. The need time together.
+1 Seriously, did Braylon have any drops before that one? He's been amazing and a clutch #1 receiver.
actually I blame sanchez on that play.....he threw a floater out there....had he thrown a harder ball i think edwards has a better chance of coming down with it.
What were you guys expecting? Even before he was on the Jets, it was obvious what you had in Braylon Edwards...ridiculous athleticism with big play potential, but at the cost of some sure-handedness. You guys are acting like we traded for Chris Carter or something.
that wasn't even a drop, which is the funny part. he got leveled by nelson's helmet and there was another defender that hit him. he's held onto to some amazing balls while getting smashed... same old jets.....fans
