When the same exact (maybe a bit worse) injury happened to Arsenal striker Eduardo (same kind of skills, small guy who has to move quickly in small places) it took him about a year to see him back on the football field. I think he might be back 100% after ther first 3-4 games next year.
Wasghington was a complete idiot for turning down the contract offered by the Jets. What the Jets offered was more than fair, IMO. The Jets clearly have nothing to regret, but Washington does. His road back will not be an easy one. I do know, if anyone can do it, Washington can. The irony of Gholston getting $21 Mil guarranteed (for being disappointing to say the least) and Washington getting his leg snapped like a matchstick for $535/yr is amazing, isn't it.
At 704 yards after 8 games, and when you consider that he really didn't run that well in the first 3, Thomas Jones is having another very, very good season. Why get rid of the guy? Because he is old? I'd give him an extension. Jones just keeps getting it done.
Leon will definitely be back, if this was 20-30 years ago his career would be over, not with the way they rehab now and all the technology used. I agree with a previous post saying he'll get a contract but very incentive based and Leon should be able to reach those incentives. How much did he collect from his insurance policy??
I thought he might get some supplemental income this year, since incentives can't be reached. Such as Pro Bowl, and stuff like that.
