Farve. I fucking hate his guts. had to root for the green and white but seeing him in our uniform made me sick. I'm still convinced Larry Izzo is a spy for Bell-I-Chump.
I'd have to say Favre. I was sick of him long before he even came here. Actually grew to like him over the season he was here but he's the one that jumps out at me.
Donald Brashear.... oh Jets player I'm sorry. I'd have to say Adrien Clarke. I hate coaches more than players. EDIT: I'd like to add DRob.
Same. I didn't like the signing and I don't think he ever really wanted to be a Jet. I appreciated what he did mid-season, but then he started sucking and they showed him giving the lamest pregame pep-talk ever, so by that point I just wanted the fucker benched.
the "whatever that game is" pregame talk was frustrating. But I would also say it spoke volumes of how much the players couldn't stand Mangini.
Coach: Herm Edwards.... has to be one of the biggest jokes I have ever seen. Player: Gastineau, man he was such a douche bag.
Yeah but 99's sack dance was awesome and there is no way that tool Strahan owns the sack record. It's still Brigitte Nielson's. I couldn't stand Johnny Mitchell with Kyle Brady not far behind.
Rick Mirer - I HATE Notre Dame, and especially hated them when he was there and they last mattered, as far as I can remember. I had no hope that season the moment when Vinny went down. And he compounded the problem 1000x right out of the gate.
Some of these answers are redonculous. Pennington? How could you not want to see that guy succeed? He loved being a NY Jet as much as anyone I ever saw as a Jet. And Boomer? Shit - that guy had NY tattoooed on his ass the day he became a Jet. He loved being a Jet as much or more as you love being a Jets fan. And Gastineau?! How could you have a difficult time rooting for any member of that tandem. Cox? Are you crazy? That guy ran our defense in '98. Without Cox' mouth, they have no muscle to flex. He was practicing D-Rex defense before D-Rex was D-Rex. Ty Law I'll agree with. Paycheck player who never appreciated how much better NY is than Assachusettes. O'Donnelll? Absolutely. Hard to get excited for an incoming free agent whose last memorable play was a ninterception that cost his team a Super Bowl. Favre? Considering he came and left as a mercenary - I can see that. But how anyone couldn't have been excited for what could have been (and is still in Minnesota) is still beyond me. He didn't love being a Jet but he loves football as much as anyone. And if he didn't get injured, we were playoff-bound and then some. Coulda shoulda didn't...I get it. Moving on. Brady was never and could never be Sapp - he was f'd from day 1 so that's a legit Jet difficult to root for. Johnny Mitchell and Blair Thomas were instant busts so that's respected. But Boomer? Really?!
