With Cincy or Pitt definitely getting a wild card spot, only one is left. SD stinks but the Giants gave them a game by a) not going for TD from 10 yd line and b) sucking hard on defense. Now the Jets really need a ton of help
It's not Tom Coughlin's job to get the Jets into the playoffs. Who gives a shit about whether the Giants win or lose?
I agree with this. I think we're either going to have to really fight for the wildcard spot making the week 17 game against the bengals really important if we make it there. But I do think we still have a shot at the division. We are only 2 games behind the pats and we do play them in 2 weeks plus they have to play the saints and indy in the next coming weeks. I think the shot at the playoffs is in our hands.
Win your own games is what it comes down to. Worry about other teams in Week 16 and 17 when you're down to it.
Have a serious question for u? How many teams didnt make the playoffs that had #1 D? Not saying where going to stay there all year but I was just wondering.
The Jets aren't the #1 defense even right now, the Giants are in terms of yardage allowed, and the Colts #1 in points per game. As far as how many teams missed the playoffs with the #1 defense, I would gamble that there are very few, but maybe you should do some research to make your own argument. I don't have all day to go through NFL historic stats to make your argument for you.
We still control our own destiny, if we take care of our business worrying about other teams wins and losses will not be our job.
Yeah, but this is the Jets we're talking about. It's their job to win just enough games that they shouldn't win to keep me interested in playoffs, but lose to shitty teams and division rivals when necessary in order to keep things as close as fucking possible. Then this puts me in the position every year of rooting for every other fucking team, even teams I dispise. I wouldn't be a Jets fan if I weren't used to this shit. Somebody take me out of my misery already.
There is still HALF A SEASON to go. People act like the division is lost because we're 2 games back and those people would be 110% incorrect. Enough already. A game in Week 9 is what it is, a game in Week freakin' 9.
I know as a Jet fan, it would have helped us, but it was great seeing the Giants lose such a huge game at home. Seeing them lose is a notch below the Jets winning, sorry, that's the way it flows for me
philip rivers to the end zone with a few seconds left. pricless. It makes me feel better that the jets arent the only team to collapse a big start
The Giants collapse to me as just an observer of that team is more alarming. They are a veteran team with alot of experience and they are simply getting outplayed.
