nobody said we cant....i'm even saying this so you know it must be glaringly true....5 game win streak means nothing now....the last 2 games were dismal and of SOJ quality....the jets need to win out to restore confidence.... and don't bring up the giants losing....the giants #1 just won the superbowl...and #2 are probably the best team in the NFL...the reason nobody is saying anything about the giants is because THEY HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP....the jets dont....
People need to chill about the Jets Should we be better then 4-4 hell yes we should but we have some easy games coming up and we play everybody tough. If we can get rid of the turnovers this team will be just fine. All around this Jet team is one of the best teams we had since the BP era. I really believe this team will take care of what it needs to and we will look like the team we was the 1st 3 games of the season.
So getting rid of turnovers = wins!!!!!! Somebody give this guy a whistle and a clipboard and get him out there.
That's right Tedd Ginn doesn't have incredible speed and wasn't elusive on the two TD runs it was just our guys deciding not to tackle on those particular plays. Ricky Williams on 3rd and 10 only gets the first down because our D let him, Ricky isn't one of the best running backs in the NFL. Those CB's and safties for Buffalo don't intercept balls unless the Jets let them. You act as if these games are played by one team. With the exception of 4 or 5 teams every team figures out a way to win or lose a game. When you start 3 and 0 and go 1 and 4 either your figuring out a way to lose or the other guys are figuring out a way to beat you. At the end of the day it doesn't matter. Winning teams win, lossing teams loss.
The Jets love beating themselves, but can you blame them? I would venture to bet that every Jet fan has beat themselves on any give Sunday.
You seem to be missing the obvious fact that he IS the number one Jets fan and you should all show the proper respect.
Why when someone make a true proven statement that perhaps is not profound, they get slaughtered. The statement is very correct. We lost buffalo on turnovers, NO because of turnovers and really the last Miami game also.
Geez, for a guy who makes good points this is a ramble of junk. Are you saying a team can't beat itself? Mistakes did not cost us the games?? Not sure why you put a 10yd in your rant that didn't cost anyone anything. It actually should be put in to point out how well we shut down there run other then that gain. The Post is correct we beat ourselves. Yes two teams play the game and the other team is out there trying to win also so give them kudos for doing so. To watch those games and not realize that our issues are more about us executing then it is about other teams forcing us into mistakes is ridiculous.
With a 4-4 record, we've got plenty of season left to come back and push for the playoffs. We also have plenty of season to finish 6-10. I'm not giving up, but we should be in better position than we are. I'll continue to watch on Sundays and throw shit at the TV and yell as if the refs can hear me.
I predict that we will go to the playoffs,or we will not. But i guarantee it will be one or the other.
We just went thru the easy part of our schedule, and blew chunks. NE and Indy wont be easy. Its not over, but we have to play a good game for all 4 quarters, this meaning both the O,D and special teams. I look foward to the Thursday night game, but wont hold my breath that we even get a wild card at the end.
