I stayed away from here for a couple of days so the sting of an opponents post would hurt a little less.

Like I said before, I am not a troll and I said I would have come back here to post win or lose.

Here are a few of my observartions of the Jets/Miami game this past weekend:

    • The Jets D is for real. The totally dominated our OL for nearly the entire game and our WRs could not find much room to get open (except for Hartlin on the Phins first pass of the game).
    • Mark Sanchez is a resilient QB who is very accurate when he gets into a rythm.
    • The Braylon Edwards trade looks like a steal. I never thought highly of him, but he will be a force that we have to worry about for the next few years.
    • The Jets D talked a lot before the game, but backed it up on the field.
    • Rex Ryan is a great defensive coach. I don't know how he will turn out as a head coach, but we shall see.
    • This is a game that the Dolphins looked like they should have lost. They were horrible on O (except for one drive) and could not stop the Jets in the 2nd half. But somehow they won and I'll take it. Things don't always make sense in the NFL.

I will be back from time to time to talk some football and also to make sure the Dolphins aren't dragged throught the mud too much. Oh and if you guys can, I hope you beat the fuckin Patsies.

I can't disagree with anything here. Most importantly, it looks like Sanchez is indeed a rhythm passer and needs to be let lose to really produce. He caught fire in the second half when the Jets had to pass more. He looks like he'll develop into a good one.

Enjoy the win - we'll get you next year!

I'll agree with you last point the most and not just because I'm making excuses. We looked on offense and defense like we should have won the game. But your right, shit happens in the NFL and god knows we will/have benefited from crazy stuff happening. That's the way the league is but it still doesn't make it any more disappointing.

The Jets made the proper adjustments to shut down the PUSSYcat even without Jenkins.
Jets did everything right to dominate a game except stop 2 kick returns.

    Greene's fumble? That shit happens.
Special teams aside, Jets dominated the Dolphins. Like they should always do.

Im not upset about the loss at all. Faith +1.

You controlled the game for the most part on offense and defense. But, we still ended up coming out with a win.

Thats the NFL for you. Look no further than the Fins losses to the Colts and Saints. Games that should have been wins, but came out as "L"'s in W/L column.

    It happens...

Stop with the references back to your 2 supposed hard luck losses. You dominated games for a half and your defense completely let you down in both those games AND you were beaten by a first ballot HOF QB and a guy that could be this years MVP along with Manning.

Back to the game you just won. At NO POINT in this game did you dominate on defense or offense and the guy that beat us is a first round bust as a WR that EVERYBODY in S FL has begged to be cut.

If you're so delusional that you can't see the difference then you must be a fin fan...

    lol... ok buddy...

The point was, is that things dont always add up. 45min TOP and 250 yards rushing? And a loss? How about your loss to the Bills? 300 yards rushing, and a loss? Sometimes things dont add up...

But you're right... your loss to the Fins was worse. Sucks to be you...

Kudos to the OP... I agree with everything said. It's 2 nights later and the anger has subsided a bit. Yes we dominated 2 parts of a 3 part game... it's sorta like a pitcher who takes a no hitter into the 9th only to walk a guy and give up 2 run HR and lose 2-1. You don't get credit for winning 2/3rds of the game.

Many Jet fans are quick to forget teh Chad Morton game..

Just pulled up the box score, while it was not as staggering as it was in this game

Buffalo rushed for 142 compared to the Jets 73
Buffalo passed for 271 to our 210
Where Buffalo got killed was the 3 turnovers to our 1 but statiscally they were better but Chad Morton had those 98 and 96 yard Kick returns to win it.

The Bills actually led 10 -0 in that game

In the end all that matters is a W. Special teams is part of the team, and they failed. Game over.
