nobody knows how the rest of the season is going to play out. 10-6 should get you in most years...heck sometimes 9-7 gets you in. The way the AFC is playing out, 10-6 should get us the last wild card at least.
Puff, puff, pass.. You know the rules man.. No way we win any of the last 3 games AND, we'll lose in buffalo and perhaps Carolina as well. We'll beat Tampa and Jax but it will be a death match against what's left of this year's schedule. Its over man. The reality sucks I know but 2009, as far as a playoff run goes, is done. If you need to pretend that the rest of this season has any other purpose besides establishing Ryan's system knock yourself out. Just stop with the BS about the playoffs still being a possibility.
Lets not call the Colts game a loss yet. They could be 14-0 and resting their players. Also, we can win that game either way.
You can't say with that much confidence that the Jets are gonna beat CIN. Week 17 will be a do or die week for them too, and their a good team this year. Also, lets not forget that we are the Jets and games against CAR and JAX that should be wins can never be guaranteed.
We have literally been right in every game, with legitimate chances and most of the time should have won, minus one facet of the game completely and inexplicably breaking down. Is this a sign of a bad team? No, I think it's a sign of a team still trying to find itself. I'm hopin they find themselves over the bye, come out rip roarin and take this division by storm.
We have a rookie HC, a rookie QB, we're 4-4 and we've been competitive in every single game of the season. We lost our MVPs on D and O and we've stayed competitive. There's not really a good reason to be terribly upset right now.
were clearly gonna beat the pats indy and cincy and lose to buff tampa and jacksonville. it could go either way vs atl and car
I still think 10-6 gets you in. Last year was an aberration. We have to win all the games we should and split the four "tough" games. Patriots, Falcons, Bengals, Colts.
I think there are too many good teams in the AFC. I'm worried about the AFC North. Baltimore will more than likely win the division. The Bengals and Steelers are playoff caliber teams.
We're not going 6-2 the final 8....we should have gone 4-0 in the last 4, but 3-1 would have been fine and even 2-2 would have been tolerable. We went 1-3, 3 losses in the division, 2 losses at home. We're going 8-8 or 7-9. Bank on it.
Baltimore will not win over the Bengals and Steelers. The Ravens are gonna try to win another Wild Card spot.
If the Ravens beat the Bengals next week and Denver beats Pittsburgh, they'll all have the same record.
Lord you're the man. I'm typically a heavy dark-sider but today even though we lost I feel confident about the team. I'm more upset with being swept than the actual loss. Plain and simple this loss was different than others. We played great in all stages of the game EXCEPT for kick returns. That one flaw today unluckily cost us the game. It happens people. This team is growing well and I don't think anybody really expected to win the super bowl THIS year. I truely believe that this team will be a superbowl contender NEXT season. We have a few areas we should improve on and will improve on in the next 10 months. As long as we re-sign our players who deserve it I'm feeling good about the future.
It was over when Jenkins was lost for the season. Leon and losing again to Miami was just icing on the cake. 8-8 finish, probably.
This team once again: 1) Makes enough plays to stay in the game (which prolongs the delusion among fans that the game can go either way, which only makes the eventual - inevitable - outcome all the more painful and disgusting) but not to win. 2) Makes one too many mistakes, including penalties, any of which, had it not occurred, would arguably have resulted in a Win instead of a Loss. Verdict: Same. Old. Loser. Jets.
